Hacienda la Esperanza

Hacienda La Esperanza was the perfect place for our family vacation to Copán Ruinas. My brother and his family visited from overseas and they loved to see the nature sorrounding the bed & breakfast area, which allowed us to have private rooms. The B&B is located close to the ruins and the downtown area, less than 5-10 min away from each! It offers a quiet space with beautiful views and a common area to store food and watch television, as well as a balcony and terrace to see the stars and also the tropical forests. Above all, the staff was very flexible in their check-in, offers the most delicious breakfast and are part of a special NGO; we even played with their two dogs! This will definitely be our to-go place every time we visit Copán Ruinas and we recommend it! It is worth it!

It´s times like these I wish I was way more articulate than I am because words fail to describe our experience at Hacienda La Esperanza. Another reviewer stated that they would come to Copan just to stay at the Hacienda and I wholeheartedly agree. The place is simply stunning, a beautiful Spanish Colonial Hacienda decorated with eye catching attention to detail from the door knockers, to the chandeliers to the landscaping. This place is a labor of the love and dedication of the family who owns it and it emanates in every nook and cranny. My family and I went for the NYE holiday and it was like staying at our friends´home not like staying at a hotel. The family treated us like lifelong friends and made us feel welcome and cared for. They even had New Years decorations, hats, noise makers and a complimentary charcuterie board for us. The Hacienda has two balconies on the top floor from where we viewed fireworks at midnight. The breakfasts were top notch and the coffee was excelent. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. There is a HUGE and gorgeous common room with a shared kitchen, dining area, games and an enormous TV with netflix. The Hacienda offers free, good quality wifi. Daniela was the best local guide, giving us tour and activity suggestions and patiently answering all our questions. Roger is a wealth of stories and is the founder of the charity Paramedics for Children, which is benefitted from the proceeds of the Hacienda. Paramedics for Children currently run a medical clinic and medical brigades for the indigenous poor of the Copán region. I really don´t want to make this review SO long because I want you to read it. Don´t hesitate booking the Hacienda when you visit Copán. Spread the word and let´s help this family´s beautiful mission of contribution and selflessness. Staying here was one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything was amazing! Excellent environment and customer service; clean, cozy rooms, and beautiful. The breakfast was so delicious como hecho en casa. The term "Mi casa es su casa" is real. Rodger, Suyapa and Daniela are so welcoming, helpful. They went above and beyond with everything I needed. Including, accommodating me with last minute changes and providing me with Vegan options for breakfast. I will stay here una y otra vez. Also, I love and respect that payments for staying in Hacienda La Esperanza go to Paramedics for Children nonprofit organization. Thank you for helping humanity!

A little piece of heaven in Copán, we really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Bed and Breakfast, the owners Rodger, Suyapa and Daniela treated us like family, and I don't forget to mention their super loving pets Koda and Beagle. The breakfasts were excellent with three options, so we didn't get bored during our stay. We will always treasure the mystical Mayan stones that Rodger gave us, with the promise that we will return without a doubt. I recommend everyone who travels to Copán Ruinas to stay here. What a beautiful place just ten minutes from the town or 1 euro tuk tuk. I would highly recommend staying here beautiful scenery great common area just chill on rainy days also lots of fun games foosball table, air hockey , chess. If the sun is shining sit in the beautiful garden and enjoy the peace and quite . It’s run buy a family who are supper helpful and so so nice

This Hacienda is amazing, really feels like home! Starting with the hosts, Daniela, Rodger and Suyapa really walk the extra mile to treat guests like family. And even Koda! If you are a dog lover Koda will make you feel at home! This place is impeccably clean, buildings are new, the layout give you privacy in the rooms. Common area is well equipped with TV, entertainment area with a ping-pong & air hockey table. Breakfast is delicious, cooked by the owners. Cherry on top of the pie, funds you pay go directly for Paramedics for Children nonprofit organization and the owner runs a clinic for the community outside the Hacienda for the Copan Ruins community. Amazed by the coziness, and the hosts going above and beyond with everything we needed. Truly one of a kind and definitely a must if you are looking for a place to rest, chill and relax while visiting such a wonderful iconic town like Copan Ruins.

I had a magnificent experience during my stay there. Not only is the property even more beautiful than the pictures suggest but the family is one of the most kind and welcoming I have met. I stayed in the hostel, which has access to a balcony which has two hidden terraces attached and the room you are staying in is just huge. Everything is still new as it was just finished three months ago but has a lot of character to it as it was handpicked and designed by the owner. It was great to hear the stories and development of Paramedics for Children. I definitely had entertaining evenings with the guest and owner playing live music together and relaxing in the common area. And even though my planning of transportation was a mess they never hesitated to help me and continuously offered to drive me places. Overall a great place to relax and let your soul dangle. Oh and the two dogs are just the sweetest.
