Unwind in Coral Bay on the quiet side of St John at this lovely recently renovated "almost beachfront" property perched just above the shoreline.
There are 2 coral reefs right across the street from the house at both ends of Johnson Bay for endless underwater exploring as well as sea grass beds for turtle sightings.
With 2 air-conditioned queen bedrooms & ensuite simple-elegance private baths with full-flow showers, this property provides a terrific space for guests to unwind, relax, recharge, and enjoy.
In addition to the approx 1000 square foot Cottage there is an additional 1000 square feet of outside living comprised of a 10' x 17' x 4' heated swim-spa with adjacent covered seating/dining area & mini-fridge, 2nd level sun deck with 4 cushioned loungers, large dining & lounge area with ample seating & surrounding decks.
The cottage features modern amenities like Wi-Fi, AC (bedrooms only), a full-size front-load washer/dryer, dishwasher, iron & board, hair dryer, smart streaming TVs in bedrooms and sitting room & much more.
The full kitchen has all the amenities including a dishwasher, microwave, air-fryer, coffee maker, toaster, electric tea pot, blender, ice maker, full-size gas oven/range, full-size fridge, and a variety of other accoutrements available upon request. See the full list in the additional info.
The open sitting, dining, & kitchen area is naturally cooled in this perfect location by Easterly Caribbean Tradewinds straight from the shore through screened windows & doors (gotta keep those occasional pesky bugs out) & ventilated through a cupola giving a natural airflow 24/7 with the addition of 4 ceiling fans for added comfort.
We are 1 mile from Coral Bay Center & a 5 min walk (30 second drive) to Calabash Market amply supplied with all of your basic daily needs. Rural yet convenient with paved driveways, ample parking, and direct access through a private security gate with a gently sloped driveway for ease of entry and parking at the main level so no stairs to climb when loading in & out. (No long dark & scary winding access roads or driveways necessary for you to return after a long day or night out).
The house faces directly east with unobstructed views overlooking Coral Bay, the East End of St John, Hurricane Hole, Flanagan Island, & the BVI's of Tortola & Norman's "Treasure Island" without a neighbor in sight. The closest neighboring properties you can see are perched high on a ridge a half mile away giving you all the privacy you need for your ideal Island getaway.
Immerse yourself in the quaint charm of this vacation rental and experience a truly delightful stay. You'll enjoy laid-back Coral Bay where you'll experience the "Island Life" of yesteryear with unique gift shops, live music, good restaurants, and yet also convenient with 2 additional grocery stores which have generous selections of your favorite libations. Only 10 minutes away you'll find the World Class legendary white sand beaches of the North Shore, or head to the South Shore beaches and hiking trails also just 10 min away for a completely different experience.
Coolers, beach towels, and beach chairs are provided.
2 tandem kayaks are also available free of charge (a $500 weekly value) at the users own risk but flotation vests are not provided. You may rent those as well as snorkel & beach gear at Beach Bum or Ocean Surfari in Cruz Bay or Crabby's Watersports in Coral Bay. A separate release of liability agreement is required for the kayaks as well as a loss & damage liability & deposit agreement to be completed on-site.

Our on-site property manager is happy to take great care of you if you need anything while in residence and is available 24/7 for emergencies. The Islands do lose power periodically so we are equipped with a generator which will be implemented by the property manager during such power interruptions.
The 2-bedroom unit is the upper level of the Cottage.
Please note that this home has a security camera pointed onto the driveway which you will have dedicated access to during your stay. You may also choose to have it decommissioned during your stay.

Wonderful!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Jim was a fantastic host—thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly helpful from the planning phase all the way through our trip. He truly thought of everything, from beach chairs and snorkel gear to a fully stocked kitchen with every gadget you could possibly need.The house itself was comfortable and well-appointed. The beds were cozy, the fans kept everything breezy, and the bedroom A/C was a great touch. The views? Simply breathtaking.We especially loved the pool area—the loungers were perfect for an afternoon nap in the sun. But my favorite part of each day was enjoying breakfast on the balcony while watching the sunrise.Highly recommend this place for a relaxing, well-equipped, and memorable getaway!

Great week!
Everything was as described, easy to access, nice views. Jim was very discreet but always present when needed. Perfect place for our family of 4, even the teenager liked it.Several options to eat nearby, north beaches are 10-15 minutes away, no need to rent a Jeep to access this house.

winter getaway
terrifiic view of bay, decor very nice, supplied nicely, quiet side of island but adequate amenities-groceries, restaurants, even kayaks ! no air in living area but seldom needed, air units in bedrooms somewhat noisy but work well.

Amazing Views, Great Host
Jim's property exceeded our expectations on all counts! The house is on Johnson's Bay, overlooking the East End and Norman Island. The views are spectacular in all directions. Coral Bay with its stores, restaurants and bars is a quick 5 minute drive. The house had everything we wanted in a vacation house, including an ice maker. Having the pool was a plus after a hot day at the beach. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor grille was brand new and worked great! There were multiple outdoor sitting areas to either be in the sun or get away from the sun. Jim was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful two week vacation at his property! We plan on returning next year!

Great Property, Fantastic Host
Our host, Jim, was the best. Super helpful and knowledgeable about all things St John.Responded quickly and thoroughly to our inquiries prior to and during our stay and went out of his way to make our stay memorable.The property itself is wonderful. Well equipped, clean, and great location. Amazing view, especially the beautiful sunrise. We really enjoyed the outdoor living space, such a great place for morning coffee or reading in the evening on the comfortable outdoor sectional. We would highly recommend this property.

Great Stay with a Few Considerations
Our stay at Aqua Vista Villa was enjoyable. The host was very responsive—on-site yet unobtrusive. The kitchen was well-stocked, making meal prep easy. The expansive deck was a great feature, though unfortunately, we couldn't take full advantage of it due to the weather and bugs.One thing to note is the driveway. While considered "gently sloped" by St. John standards, it’s still quite steep and can be challenging to navigate. Overall, a lovely stay with just a few things to keep in mind!

Wonderful stay in Coral Bay St John
Jim was a wonderful host with good practical and helpful information. Quite comfortable for 2 couples, and well equipped. Super comfortable beach chairs and cooler were used every day and were fantastic. Decking was a highlight. Just great for morning coffee sunrise, outdoor dining, lounges were a big plus too. Views were great and easy access off the main road. Would definitely return
