Kn Hotel Matas Blancas - Solo Adultos

If your travelling solo this hotel is perfect...i went with a friend but we had separate rooms. The hotel itself is lovely, really clean and the room was lovely. Some of the barstaff were not the friendliest but overall the staff were great. My only complaint was the food - i admit there was not many people staying but the food that was out was cold and very limited (i will eat anything but did struggle on a couple of occasions to find something warm). Yes a kettle would of been nice in the room but you can hire them. The entertainment guy was very keen always coming round telling people what was happening and he is a great performer. The other reviews about Swingers hotel is absolute BS i would of felt quite safe and happy on my own. Would definitely go again but probably eat out at night :)

We needed a relaxing holiday, after a very difficult two years, and boy did we get it! A lovely hotel with the most amazing staff. They all worked so hard to make the place look and run so smoothly. Our room was basic but clean and comfortable, and the view from our balcony was beautiful. The food was great and plenty of choice for everyone. Although it was up the top of the hill, the views from the hotel were worth it. Walking down was fine, but getting a taxi back was easy and cheap. The entertainment was great and Fabian was the perfect host. Personally, we can’t wait to go back. The wine was dodgy but the gin was great 😊

We asked for a ground-floor room for my wife's bad knee and we got it with the added bonus of 2 sunbeds on the balcony which was also a windbreak. We had everything within a short walk. Seen food bad reviews but all meals were fine we had king prawns/ steak/ full chickens cut up/ beef joint/ mussle for nighttime and never had any complaints. The drinks were fine but the wine was fizzy only complaint but we could still drink it. The pools were cold on heated but we just went into the spa for 1 hour and did a heated indoor one with a steam room and sauna and jets in the pool. It is hilly and had to walk if you have problems with mobility but taxis are not expensive. I would come back.

Hotel/room is clean, good sized. The food is awful, it’s not fresh. The fruit for example looked like it had been cut days ago, it’s very limited and basically the same each day. Spa was lovely and reasonably priced for a massage. Be aware if you book through love holidays you will have to pay 15 euros for spa access limited to 2 hrs. Cocktails are ok but very limited to what’s all inclusive. Staff are pleasant and very welcoming, I arrived late and was left some food in my room. Overall fine but definitely more a 3 star

Rooms Tidy, clean but worn Beds are like sleeping on camp beds, pillow flat (had to ask for an extra pillow which took all day and then they tried to fob us off by saying tomorrow) the beds have plastic sheets on them so not only do you sweat but you also crinkle!! The room is so clean the beetles have moved in!!!!! There is no kettle in the room so we took our own travel kettle ( but should have thought to bring cups) They charge for everything here!!! Cups, kettle, plastic pint glasses for around the pool!!!! Bathroom jaded, toilet seat marked and chipped, shower hard to control Some Staff unfriendly and unhelpful Food: poor very poor for a four star hotel!!!! Drinks way too much alcohol in drinks almost making them undrinkable ( though this may be a ploy to stop you complaining about the quality and range of the food) It is a 20/30 minute walk to a good beach and the area is extremely hilly. ( any breathing or fitness issues and this is not the place for you) ( taxi to the beach about 7 euros) There is not enough seating in the hotel if you wish to sit in the bar area. There is a large room on the fourth floor being used for entertainment ( we had to clean the tables we sat at our selves even though the guy at the bar had said he had just cleaned them) I need to teach him how to clean! (very sticky) There are no staff allocation tidying and removing cups, plastic glasses and rubbish from around the bar area during the day. Pool is cleaned in the morning so you can’t use the pool until 10 am, all inclusive finishes at 11 pm every evening. The snack bar is poor offering only over heated crap processed food. WINDY, VERY WINDY PLACE Fabian doing the entertainment is the saviour of this place, friendly and fun. Well done you need a raise. They close the bar at 9:30 to make you go upstairs to disco room!!!!! Sometimes I like to sit and drink on the balcony without the loud music! Which means you have to go upstairs to get a drink then carry it downstairs to the outside bar /balcony or your room. The over powering air freshener ( cinnamon) in the entrance is horrendous and needs to be changed as it gives you a headache especially if you are drinking in the bar! All information about the hotel is online and accessed by scanning the qr code! The only problem is the qr code is in the reception. They could really do with having it in the rooms. If you are not all inclusive and you want a breakfast it’s 20 euros each….. you would be better off walking into town and having a lovely stake for the same price!!! One day they literally packed up all the Sunbeds around us as we were sunbathing without an explanation.. in the morning there were no Sunbeds so we asked at reception what was going on and she didn’t know and had to ask. They had put them away so they could clean the floor around the pool. ( it was filthy) so the pool was out of action until gone 10:30! Very clean hotel, the room we had looked tired and the beds were camp beds! But actually comfortable and slept well. Great for our short break. Pool, restaurant all clean. Had an amazing Body massage in the Spa. Prosseco included in the all inclusive drinks was a pleasant surprise. We were 2 female friends having a winter break and ticked all the boxes. Felt save and good 25 minute/6,000 steps to the beach. Can always use the scooters to get there and back, great fun. Would recommend for a max of week stay. Thanks to all the staff for a fab stay.

Plus points. Clean hotel with adequate sized rooms and adequate food served at mealtimes. Food perfectly edible but it's not a Michelin star experience. Staff are all friendly and helpful and rooms are cleaned dail. Obviously there's scuffs and scrapes in the rooms but that always comes with being a year round resort. Negative points. Hotel is in an isolated area well away from the beach and the resort centre which necessitates a stiff undulating walk of at least 30 minutes.Costa Calma itself is a very quiet area so don't come here expecting restaurants and nightlife because there isn't or hardly any and what does exist is more geared towards Germans than British. Public transport buses run regularly to Morro Jable taking around 30 minutes which is a whole lot livelier and to the capital Puerto Del Rosario which has large shopping centres but takes 75-90 minutes. An irregular direct bus runs around 5 times a day weekdays and far less on weekends to the airport.

I have never stayed in a hotel where the staff have all been so friendly and helpful. They are a joy to talk to and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel , dining hall, grounds and pools are kept spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious and airy The food is tasty and nutritious ( with “naughty” options - we’re on holiday after all !) and attractively presented.Costa Calma is a lovely area and this hotel is high up so benefits from spectacular views and sunsets

Worst hotel and All Inclusive I’ve ever stayed. I and my 2 friends had ground floor rooms with a patio area with sun beds which was ok as you could sunbathe out of the wind. The rooms were tired and in poor condition with cupboard doors hanging off. Bed sheets had holes in them. No bathroom products only a soap dispenser on the wall, small towels and thread bear. Beware of the numerous small black cockroaches that get into your room. Restaurant looks like a dated works canteen grim, food cold and appalling, 3 types of wine on tap and is fizzy and grim with rude staff, when food has run out no replacements are brought out, we had to eat out most nights in town but not many restaurants there the best being Restaurante 555 being the best, Mama Mia is ok. Bar 6:30to 9:30, staff Colin was nice but the other lady was rude, drinks cheap knock off brands. Pool side bar much the same as the bar didn’t try the food as it look grim. Stay well clear of this place.
