Hotel la Grange - Animal Chic Hotel

I recently returned from a weekend away with friends staying in this super-friendly and pretty hotel which used to be the village’s granary. The hotel is full of history with photos of the family through generations and heirlooms hanging everywhere. But the rooms aren't old - super comfy beds, plenty of space for ski paraphernalia (plus there is a boot room downstairs along with a sauna and an underground garage, for a small extra cost) and balconies with beautiful views. We opted for a family room with second bedroom on the mezzanine - really spacious and with two bathrooms. The best thing by far were the family and their friends than run the hotel along with the guard pig at the front door, the gorgeous St Bernard who pretends to be a rug and the bunnies and chinchillas by reception, plus of course, the many chickens who provide the eggs for breakfast (fab and included). Everyone was so friendly and helpful and a special mention to the lovely Isabella who was just fantastic - a great raconteur behind the bar, even if we did pay for it with slight headaches the next day! The hotel's restaurant is in another building a minute's walk away and the food there was fantastic. Entrèves is a quiet and pretty village but it’s just a few minutes’ drive from Courmayeur and 5 mins on foot from the Val Veny ski lift where there is a ski hire shop with free storage lockers if you rent from them (there is another shop at the top of the lift too). I would definitely return to La Grange - a perfect spot with a choice of lovely restaurants but the après ski of Courmayeur close by if you want more noise. Super friendly staff who could not have been more helpful. Lovely cabin style hotel with communal area and bar to get together. Suites are available for families or groups of friends which is great, plus they have two bathrooms and everything is super clean and there's enough space to put ski gear like helmets and jackets. Plus there's a boot room for any equipment. Breakfast was included and for dinner there's a lovely restaurant attached to the hotel (just behind it) and a couple of others in the village but otherewise it's pretty quiet.

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 giorni con amici. L hotel arrivando è carino, sia la sala dove c è bar reception, sia la sala delle colazioni. Le camere potrebbero andare, letto comodo e anche i cuscini, pulizia buona, ma i bagni sono da rifare, box doccia con rigate nere nei bordi e nappo della doccia da cambiare. Ristorante non funzionante ma piatto caldo unico per la sera da prenotare ad un costo veramente alto con bevande escluse (lo stesso piatto ai ristoranti a Courmayeur 10 euro meno). La colazione invece molto abbondante e molte cose da poter mangiare. Viene indicata la presenza della sauna ma all arrivo non ti viene menzionata perché non è in funzione. Al ceck out abbiamo dovuto aspettare perché non c era nessuno alla reception. Molte cose vanno sistemate in questo hotel e gli va dato più cura. E se i servizi non ci sono non vanno menzionati sui propri siti. Rapporto qualità prezzo non congruo.

Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo in questo hotel, incuriositi dalla presenza di animali liberi nella hall dell'albergo. La posizione è buona e il personale cortese, l'aperitivo tuttavia non è niente di eccezionale. Cibo di qualità modesta, con una presenza di mosche veramente eccessiva e fastidiosa, sia nella stanza del buffet che nelle stanze a fianco. In tutto questo da aggiungere anche il prezzo: per gli esterni è assolutamente fuori mercato. Si pagano 10€ a piattino per l'aperitivo, con il drink escluso. Abbiamo quindi pagato 25€ per uno spritz, un'acqua tonica e un piattino con alcune tartine, decisamente troppo per il servizio offerto! Aperitivo evitabile.

Abbiamo soggiornato i primi di settembre in questa struttura. Location meravigliosa ai piedi del monte bianco, vicinissima gli impianti di skyway. Struttura molto bella e ben tenuta, personale gentilissima cordiale e molto molto disponibile per qualsiasi richiesta/esigenza. Il contatto con gli animali regala grandi emozioni. Grazie ai proprietari e a tutto il personale per avere creato un ambiente sereno e rilassato.

Purtroppo non ho potuto soggiornare nell' Albergo per motivi di salute dimostrati ai proprietari, a tutela loro, degli altri clienti e delle persone che viaggiavano con me. Ho disdetto la mia prenotazione 24 ore prima, mentre i miei amici hanno pernottato per 2 notti. Nonostante i problemi di salute segnalati ho pagato interamente il soggiorno di una notte, in assenza di un voucher o il mantenimento di una caparra per un eventuale pernottamento futuro. Per fortuna la notte successiva la mia stanza è stata rivenduta, altrimenti avrei dovuto pagare interamente anche quella. Sicuramente non ci andrò per le politiche discutibili e anche perchè il soggiorno è in mezzo alla natura e agli animali, ma le proposte NON sono interamente vegetariane.
