Azure Boutique Resort

We got a family suite with a separate bedroom and they put 2 twin beds for us in the living room. The breakfast was very big with a good selection and they also have a good restaurant menu with a variety of prices and good selection. Clean decent swimming pool and nice stretch of sandy beach with coconut trees and lounge chairs. We did not see many people which was nice to practically have the place to ourselves. The resort itself it probably 30 years old and not been renovates since the tropical 80's vibe but kitsch in that sense. We had good AC and comfortable sleep, with even turn down service and nice comfy duvet and cozy blankets for children. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating kudos to Adrian at the front desk who helped solve a rude incident with the reservation lady who was shouting and hung up the phone on us she lied and tried to say she was the general manager then told me to just book on B.com. Which I told her I knew she was not the GM and no gm would tell someone to just book online (as hotel has to pay them a commission and we were enquiring about the direct rate they had listed. She almost ruined the entire stay because I was going to cancel due to her bad behavior. Also the 2 phone numbers listed were not working and had to send reminder email follow up. She should not be working in that role. Then after she hung up she lies and said she ran out of credit afternwe demanded an apology and threatened to write the director (which was total BS) so we called back and got Adrian who turned us around with his pleasant attitude. Other than that, not bad for a family friendly budget beach stay in Dar with a swimming pool close to the waterpark.

Great hotel, nice pool, good food, great breakfast ,they have an execptable gym, friendly people everyting there but the beach is a big disappoitement. 100 % covered by seaweed, they only clean a small 2meter way to the water when it is low tide. So great hotel especially for that price,,,,, but forget the ocean it's not part of your vacation as you cannot access it like you think you could

Wir haben hier vier Tage als Familie (Eltern mit Kind) gewohnt. Wie oft geschrieben, ist dies ein älteres Strandhotel in ruhiger Lage zu einem günstigen Preis. Es hat seine Vor- und Nachteile, und am Ende ist es eine persönliche Entscheidung, ob die Mängel wichtiger als der Preis sind. Sieht man das Positive, dann kann man hier problemlos ein paar schöne Tage verbringen. Das Hotel ist am Ende einer sehr langen Sackgasse mit vielen - größtenteils höherpreisigen - Hotels. Direkt nebenan ist ein Waterpark, der aber nicht viel Lärm verursacht hat, sodass es insgesamt ruhig war. Durch die Lage ist man auf Taxis/Mietwagen o.ä. angewiesen, dafür ist der Strand - für eine Millionenstadt - schön. Im Meer baden würde hier wohl niemand, dafür ist der Pool sehr schön, groß und sauber. Die ganze Anlage wurde vor vielen Jahren offensichtlich mit viel Geschmack entworfen und gebaut, mit vielen schönen Details. Auf Fotos sieht das teilweise wirklich toll aus, wie wir selbst festgestellt haben. Leider wurde und wird viel zu wenig in den Unterhalt gesteckt, so dass fast überall der Verfall sichtbar ist. Auch das Zimmer - irgendwann in der Vergangenheit sicher schön - war dunkel und alt. Das große Bett hatte ein (wichtiges) Moskitonetz fest installiert - das Zustellbett allerdings nicht (Kinder dürfen ruhig gestochen werden?). Insbesondere das Badezimmer war sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Aus der Dusche kam nur wenig Wasser, was den Vorteil hatte, dass der langsame Abfluss nicht so störte. Jeden Tag nach der Zimmerreinigung hatten wir nur noch zwei Handtücher und mussten nach einem dritten fragen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, mit einem recht vielfältigem Büffet, mit Eiern nach Wunsch auf Bestellung. Auch das Abendessen im Restaurant war gut. WLAN hat recht zuverlässig funktioniert, und bis in unser Zimmer gereicht. Im Zimmer war auch ein funktionierender Safe.

Suggerito da amici abbiamo prenotato e soggiornato in questo splendido Resort uno dei migliori ha mio avviso qui a Dar er Salaam. Accoglienza eccellente, super organizzati, servizi di ottima qualità dotati di tutti i comfort nella spaziosissima camera, accurata nei dettagli e molto pulita con minibar e tisaneria con bollitore (fantastico) vista mare wow. Il cibo delizioso, l attesa dei pasti nella norma ma non parliamo della colazione c'è di tutto di più, europea e locale ma con tanta tanta scelta e tanto cibo da non aver fame a pranzo. Lo staff... dalla guardia, al giardiniere, le cameriere, i ragazzi della Reception tutti molto disponibili e gentilissimi be' d'altronde se a gestirli c'è un Manager del genere, di classe e professionale. Ringrazio tutti voi per averci sorpreso siete decisamente andati oltre le nostre aspettative. Continuate così vi auguro il meglio. Grazie asante sana, arrivederci kwaheri.
