Shreebag Homestay is one of the best places to stay in Diveagar. The rooms are clean and comfortable, perfect for families and couples. The food is amazing—especially the fish thalis and the veg thali with Val Bhaji, which tastes just like traditional Konkani food. The owner and his family are super welcoming and make you feel at home.

Had a wonderful family trip with parents and kids, would love to come back next time! Centrally located in Dive Agar, beach only a few minutes walk. Simple, clean, comfortable rooms with all the basic necessities. Play area with swings, slides, badminton was very nice and convenient for kids and adults. Very beautiful property - lush organic farm and plantation. We got to eat bananas and guavas from farm. Cannot say enough how amazing the food was - simple but flavorful Maharashtrian-Konkani home-cooked food. Ghavan, pohe, bhaji, amti, puran-poli, fish fry were all amazing! Siddhesh and his family/staff were great hosts - Apart from taking care of all our needs, Siddhesh gave us great recommendations on what to do locally and he gave us a very nice informative tour of the property. Siddhesh and his family/staff have taken a lot of efforts to maintain and improve the farm/plantation in a sustainable manner. Siddhesh also set up a bonfire at night for our family to enjoy.

I was planning for my long weekend break with my wife and 2 year old kid, towards diveagar for two reasons, 1. drive with my new car and 2. Had never explored Konkan belt ( although being from pune ). To my surprise all the resorts were already full and we were on the verge of calling our trip off, just then I came across shreebaug homestay option online and checked out the property, followed by a conversation with the owner Mr Siddhesh, he spoke very warmly and we made an instant decision to stay at this place for our entire break 2nights 3days. The best part while booking was I just paid a very nominal advance and Siddhesh didn’t ask for anything more. Property We reached the stay at around noon, the entire aura was welcoming and the property just felt like an extended home, filled with lush green coconut, banana and supari trees, ample Parking space open area that was an eye candy for the kid, we were convinced about the decisions we made The rooms are average enough, but has the warmth and feeling of being at home, AC, fridge, Wi-fi, TV, 24*7 hot water, balcony that opens onto the garden, all in all a place that will give you a complete village experience and feel of simple living high thinking. The dinning area was our favourite spot, and the max time my kid spent was there ***** with Siddhesh’s young kid ( they became good friends by the end of the trip and that was a real positive of the stay ) What was spellbound was the motion sensor lights across the property, really a thing that I never expected. Wi-fi coverage is decent enough Diveagar beach is just 5mins walk from the property Hospitality Siddhesh is a self learned entrepreneur and has come so far without any hospitality background, learning with experience is what was at display right from the moment you enter the property till you checkout We were greeted by guava drink which was form their own farm He handed over a local must visits places and also guided us with how we can plan the day of stay A true gentle ***, he ***** with his amazing family makes you feel no less than a family member. Entire process of checkin to checkout was smooth. The most amazing personality is Sidhheshji’s father, climbs coconut tree at this age( assuming he is in 60-70) Food We had the best Konkani food at Shreebaug homestay, be it fish thali, veg thali, breakfast ( ghawan with finger licking chutney, out of the world poha,) I overate everyday that I had food here The polis ( chapati ) were way beyond soft and worth every bite. Food was cooked over traditional chulha and served on banana leaves that didn miss to please you towars having an authentic touch We also ordered ukdiche modak that we wanted to carry home ( and the aunty made sone really amazing modaks ) Siddhesh took great care of my daughter, we asked for Prathas, milk, non spicy fish, omelet and he didn’t say a no to anything.
