Hotel Riad Meninx Djerba

My first visit to Djerba, Tunisia. The Riadh Meninx is a lovely clean hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the Animation team are a great bunch of guys (and 1 girl) very friendly and funny! We had a great time with them. The spa is definitely worth it, full body massage, facial, mud treatment 👌 The food is hit and miss, mainly hit, very varied choices, the desserts were lovely. We loved it!

A good place to rest on the island. Nice food and service. A good and funny animation program. The staff of the entire complex is very nice, especially the manager Murad. Special thanks for everything Murad. The best service from you! Greetings from Bulgaria :)

We had a really good time at the hotel. The rooms are okey. The food in the Restaurant very good and there is always something else. The pool and beach very nice and clean. The Animation team was great the shows really good. We enjoyed it very much. There is also alot to do at the pool during the day and always a different Programm for children. We loved it.

lovely animators, nice waiters, monotonous food, the beach is smelly and full of algae that is not cleaned, sand on the beach full of camel and horse excrement, the lady at the reception ordered to pay extra 20 euros for a better room, even though we spent a lot on the entire stay in the hotel, nice evening performances led by animators ... I will not choose this hotel again, I rate the whole stay 5/10

Honest review Saturday 20-27th September Currently still here. Hotel is clean, all food is over the other hotel, not a problem but would be if walking was an issue. Breakfast if you like eggs or pastries all good, coffee nice, no English tea. Lunch, snack bar the best, but the issue is the flys, this would not be a problem if the tables were cleaned, the whole place needs a good clean. Dinner always something but is a bit repetitive. Drinks ok, cocktails aren’t like home and very strong Pools are lovely and quite warm, the beach is stunning but short on beds, I went at 7am and there were 3 left. Went out to eat a couple of times, food fantastic and for 2 people £30, can’t order any alcohol unless they have a licence, most haven’t. My advice bring the following to stop you getting ill: Cup to use throughout the day for drinks, I watched a waiter pick up used one a pour a drink. Wi-Fi is hit and miss, download an eSIM to your phone prior to travelling. Teabags as only fruit teas Bring something to detract the flies Aircon works well, bring pjs so you benefit from it Euros are used pretty much everywhere except when out for dinner pay by card Bring Imodium The heat is very intense factor 30 and above If going out in the evening don’t go alone especially women, Roads and paths are very dangerous to walk on lots of holes, huge craters, would advise a cab as very cheap Overall the holiday was enjoyable but due to cleanliness it should only be a 2 star, if they sorted this issue i would rate it as a 3

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a week at Hotel Meninx. I’ll start with the food. Food was good with it mainly being beef chicken lamb and fish. Breakfast they served crepes which I really enjoyed and they were very popular. However towards the end of the week both me and my boyfriend did start to feel a bit unwell but it was manageable. The dining room was huge but at times it could be difficult to get a table or find a clean one as there didn’t seem to be enough waiting staff per the amount of tables and they were always rushed off their feet. The room. The room was presentable enough however we had an issue with the drain smelling and it took nearly an hour for some to come and pour some bleach down it. The seal in the bathroom window of the shower cubicle, which on the other side was the bedroom, leaked. You had to direct the shower away but the way the hose had been installed it naturally pointed at this window making it annoying everytime you wanted a shower. The beds themselves weren’t uncomfortable but were quite firm something to bear in mind if you don’t like a more solid mattress. Our room came with a balcony which was nice. The pools. The resort was in a sort of complex with another hotel across the road which you are allowed to go to. We spent most of our time at the second hotels pool as it was a lot quieter and we preferred the pool too. This was great having a second option away from the noise of the main hotel. The hotel is also on beach front which we loved as it’s a private beach so you don’t get harassed or have to pay for a lounger. The hotel has plenty of different bars, and a really good snack bar open from 12:30 - 6 in case you’re hungry throughout the day. The animation team run plenty of different activities throughout the day and did the entertainment every evening. They were really friendly although they didn’t always take no for an answer if you didn’t want to participate in a game. Me and my boyfriend had a 50 minute massage for 30€ each which was incredible and well worth the money. Definitely the best massage I’ve ever had and something to do whilst at the hotel. The cash machine you need to be careful with as we brought a monzo card which it didn’t accept which left us a bit stuck without cash for the first few days. Overall apart from a few details we had a really nice time and thought it was good value for what we paid.
