Vitton Resort

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff; pool, facilities, and restaurant were excellent, direct beach access with incredible sunset views, and an easy walk to the dive tour centre. Couldn't adk for anything more!

Our stay at the Vitton Beach Resort, located near Mayon Volcano in Legaspi, Bicol, was a mixed bag of emotions. First off, the ambiance and location deserve a special mention. With a picturesque backdrop and tranquil beaches, it sets the tone for a perfect holiday. What left an indelible mark was the warmth and hospitality of the people here. When we checked in at an odd hour of 2am, Annie, was kind enough to not only let us in but also upgraded our room to be closer to the pool and the restaurant. This gesture truly touched our hearts. After our first night, we were so smitten by the ambiance that we decided to extend our stay, also to be able to visit the famed underground river. However, our experience took a turn during the checkout process. They informed us that they don't accept credit card payments, and surprisingly, we were not provided with an official receipt. Given that in the Philippines, anyone over 60 is entitled to a senior discount, we were unsure if they applied this benefit. When we inquired further about the receipt, the staff's ambiguous questions left us uneasy. My partner Bebot, being an advocate for senior citizens' well-being, addressed the ambiguity but it did put a damper on our overall experience. To summarize, while the location, hospitality, and food at Vitton Beach Resort are praiseworthy, they need to work on their administrative transparency to gain complete trust from their guests. We arrived a day early but they were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed 3 nights, predominantly as we wanted a little R&R in between travelling plus of course there’s the whale shark centre next door to the resort. We only dined in the restaurant for breakfast, which was ok. We tended to dine out each evening at BARcuda where they serve fresh and very delicious fish and seafood, definitely worth a visit. That said, we spoke to other guests who dined in and they enjoyed it. The hotel was good, but a little dated and tired in places but perfectly clean, tidy etc. you do have to request room servicing but for a short stay we didn’t bother. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and smiley. A great spot for 2-3 days but I’d struggle to be in Donsol for longer, although it does depend on how lucky you are when you go out on the whale watching trip (we were lucky that they were sighted on the day of our trip) and we were fortunate to see and swim with them.

Convenient location next to Whale-shark snorkeling center and the meeting point for diving around Manta Bowl & San Miguel area. Good hospitality service and food is tasty. However, bed & bedsheet are pretty much outdated. I think the building near swimming pool may be better.

Friendly and accommodating people.

Wonderful Resort close to Dive center with very helpful and friendly staff. Restaurant has a good selection of food ranging from Asian cuisine to western cuisine. Rooms are spacious and clean however bathrooms could be updated. The shower is hot and has good water pressure . Room comes with air-conditioner which works great and a pedestal fan. Travelers to the area beware and bring lots of cash as town has limited ATMs which aren't always working and everything requires cash no use of card. So far we haven't seen any whale sharks but the pool area has made up for it as it is a great place to relax and catch some sun.

Great convenient place to stay but still waking up from Covid situation. No tv, no bar with limited drink selection, menu is limited. However, nice rooms, great staff, nice layout. Great sunsets by a nice pool and beach. I would recommend this place.

This was the most disappointing of all the hotels I have stayed at during the last 10 years of frequent visits to the Philippines. Almost all hotels have friendly staff, as does the Vitton. But the facility, overall, was way beyond showing its age, masonary was collapsing, windows were boarded up.The room was clean and in decent condition, but the bed was very uncomfortable. Last, it is a one hour drive on a road that was in moderate disrepair and nauseatingly curvy. Its restaurant was its highpoint.
