Atento Apartments

My family of 3 stayed for 3 nights in Atento Apartments In July 2023. The location is excellent from the point of view of the ready access to the 2 Borja bars/swimming locations and a host of restaurants, but as noted by others it is positioned at one of the highest points in the old town so you need to climb a lot of steps to get there. My wife had a dodgy knee during our trip making this somewhat problematic, however we worked out if you made your way to the Jesuit Stairs and then came up around past the Restaurant & Bar Rudjer and followed the Ul. od Margarite pathway around to the small "piazza " like opening where Atento apartments is located it was not too bad. The referenced "piazza" like open area is easy to find but then it is was not easy to work out which door was Atento Apartments. Turned out you had to go up a concrete stairway at the top end of the "piazza" which led to a corridor, at the end of which was the door to our apartment. It helped that our host had left a post it note on the apartment door welcoming us otherwise we might never have found it without ringing her. The Apartment was very nice with all the facilities you would expect from a 4* accomodation including a washing machine (very helpful), but unfortunately a little let down by: - The room safe had no batteries so I had to buy batteries and work out how to fit them and get it working - There was a very limited supply of hot water (or the hot water service was not working properly) because the only time any of us were able to have a hot shower was me, when we first arrived. All other showers were at best cool, if not outright cold - The cleanliness was not quite up to scratch. At a surface level (to me) it looked ok, but my wife did not consider it clean enough - mould in the grout in the shower, ..... Overall a good stay, but could have been much better if the above shortcomings were addressed.
