OYO Carlton Court Hotel

This hotel is located mere moments from the seafront which is perfect for that peaceful getaway and walks along the seafront. I booked this hotel very last minute and at a low cost thanks to it being last minute and being a high member on a booking site - this was remarked the moment I arrived which I don’t think was polite etiquette other than that, the welcome was quite nice There is a very old lift here if you require it - I asked kindly for a room with a view if possible and they provided a room at the front of the top floor with views over the garden which was kind of them The room was small but nice enough, a kettle was provided but no tea/coffee which were available at reception! My issue with the place is the cleanliness, I walked into the room to an extremely long hair laying on the bed followed by numerous places in the bathroom and even under one of the coffee cups which is a further reason for the drop in rating

The service is very good and the hotel is very clean. I will come again if I have the chance.

The good. Large rooms, plenty of windows and storage space. Helpful receptionist helped with our bags. Great location, short walk to the water, and dining options in the next street. Good sized corner room too. And quiet, in spite of the corner Was less impressed with the wifi on our first night. Could not connect. By morning it had come good- though slow. I was told the room heater was "on a timer". Fine if the timer wasn't cold- and we were. The mattress felt saggy, but we slept very well. No issues there. I was expecting free parking. And it was. On the street, and between 6PM and 8 AM. If you're mobility impaired, be warned that your room might have 3-4 steps to once you are on your floor. Price wise it was good value for the area. The bar/resturant is only open 4 nights per week.

The staff were very unfriendly. Did not inform us about parking process which led to lot of issues. The heater also was not working

Newly refurbished. Room small, mattresses worn out, no tea/coffee in room but a kettle? 2am. Doors banging, people in and out of their rooms. Thin walls, and you can hear someone's TV on all through the night. Won't be coming back that's for sure.

Always get a welcome greeting upon arrival, The room we stayed in was clean and well maintained. The staff are very polite as well, Excellent location if you are going to the theatre. We have stayed here several times and I wouldn't go elsewhere in Eastbourne. I can't find any faults about this hotel.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and friendly staff. I certainly don't have any problems with the hotel. I certainly would recommend this hotel to people looking for a stay, Believe me there are other hotels in Eastbourne that are not nice to stay in Because I have stayed in them. As I can see people already slagging the Carlton Hotel down. They are getting the Bar ready to install more pumps for different Drinks. They Don't serve Breakfast like listed on here on TripAdvisor. But certainly don't worry about previous reviews above about the Carlton Hotel.
