Hotel definitely needs refurbishing and cleaning, though our room was very spacious (and the bathroom), there were not enough of plugs, TV was old, water pressure was quite weak and water was burning hot, cleaning was poor (floor must be hoovered and not only before the guests arrive). Parking is a problem at the moment, we had to park on Trinity Road after all (not too close, but convenient, 7 pounds a day). Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice and tasty, many dishes to choose from. Location is fantastic, long walks at the sea side are amazing!

Had a superior room above the pub on the Southern end of the hotel. It was fine, nothing special but tidy enough. Bit of noise from pub and road as its first floor. The northern end of the hotel looks like its about to fall down, hence some building work going on.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a few nights for valentine's day. It was a nice stay and the staff were good, I like how close it is to the station and the beach

We stayed in a 'cosy double'. The room is very run down. The wallpaper is stained and peeling off and the carpets did not feel very clean. The walls are extremely thin, meaning you can hear people walking along the corridor and it makes the door lock bang which sounds like someone is coming into your room. The headboard of our bed was positioned right next to the elevator which we could hear all night as people were going up and down. However, this is reflected in the price and I can't comment on the experience of a better room. The staff were polite and friendly on check in. Room amenities included a kettle for tea and coffee, a hairdryer, and an ironing board.

I stayed one night in a single room. Cold outside the room nice and warm. Bath and a shower plenty of hot water. Good night's sleep. I will stay again.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right by the pier, 10-15 minute walk from the train station, close to restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself has seen better days and needs to be renovated. The lifts are tiny, which may be an issue for those with accessibility issues (there may be a larger lift I wasn’t aware of) and the room was very basic and not great. The bathroom needed fixtures repaired, for example the toilet seat hinges were not secure and slammed painfully loudly because of the bathroom acoustics and the poorly secured shower door screeched when moved, which was not good. The staff are pleasant but everything needs an update and maintenance.

Very good location, What we paid worth the money! We would like come back again.

The hotel itself is tired & could do with a lick of paint. Also our bathroom fittings were extremely old, & the basin was a different colour to the bath & toilet, some updating is necessary. Saying that, we would definitely stay here again, as the staff were lovely. The hotel looked lovely downstairs, beautiful Christmas decorations everywhere. Breakfast was great, good selection. The hotel is very pet friendly, so will be bringing our furbabies next time. The location is perfect, just across the road from the pier & a few minutes walk to the town centre.

Very old style hotel, need major refurbishment. Lift is from 1800’s which is operates manually.

Hotel stay was comfortable and excellent for a short stay. Hotel looks old and has an ancient lift, but overall is well maintained and the room is clean and great. Toilet may be a bit cramp and the shower head is leaking causing water to splash out from the bathtub and flood the toilet floor. Location is good as it faces directly to the sea and is 15 mins walk away from the train station. However, there was no bottled water provided and the kettle looks filthy with a white layer coated on it, but the staff was friendly and provided hot water upon request at the reception. Beside that, the overall stay was pleasant and the room is clean.

Recently stayed in the pearl and pebbles and it was a lot better cleaner more toiletries and stuff for the room much better layout everything was new just felt like for what we paid in the Burlington wasn’t good enough 75 pound and the pearl and pebbles was only 32 so was abit annoyed with the pricing for what we got the room was also abit small and a tatty bathroom when asked for a shower not a bath

Super clean, best location. Highly recommended.
