Eagle Tented Lodge & Spa

Erster Eindruck TOP, 2. Eindruck FLOP! Die Zimmer/Zelte sind toll und auch sauber – ist dort schwierig, aber dennoch ist das Housekeeping gut! Pool sehr schön, gut gepflegt, aber nur 4 Liegestühle vorhanden. Martha (Service) und Vanessa (Rezeption) sind sehr freundlich und bemüht, allerdings werden die beiden von anderen Teammitgliedern verschaukelt! Deren Kollegin im Service ist komplett deplatziert: unmotiviert, unfreundlich, unwillig, unangenehm zu sehen, dass sie mit ihrer Kollegin und auch mit Gästen dumm, arrogant und ignorant umgeht! Sie hat keine Lust zu arbeiten und macht keinen Hehl daraus! Sorry, ……geht gar nicht! GLÜCK gehabt: am 25.12. wurden alle Gäste der Tented Lodge zum Eagles ? NEST gebracht (im gleichen Areal, 2min von uns entfernt, aber ?5*), es gab ein Weihnachtsbuffet! Alle haben sich sehr bemüht! Wir wissen, dass es nicht leicht ist, wenn man Weihnachten arbeiten muss! Es war sehr schön, dass die Gäste der beiden Hotels aufgrund der geringen Buchungsrate zusammengeholt haben! Wir hatten einen schönen Abend mit einem guten Essen! Auch das Service dort war viel freundlicher und aufmerksamer! Martha war auch da! Morgens beim 2.Frühstück in der Tented Lodge: Der Boden war noch vom Abend schmutzig, Papier, Brösel, tote Insekten, benutzte Zahnstocher am Boden, es war schmutzig- Service stand unwillig und gelangweilt da, hat einfach die Tische nur halb gedeckt, die Kaffeemaschine hätte eine Reinigung benötigt, die Servicemitarbeiterin hat die Maschine abgedreht und hat gemeint, dass diese kaputt ist,…… sorry, aber hier könnte ich noch eine Seite weiterschreiben! Frühstück war ok, aber mehr auch nicht! Man durfte nicht genau schauen! Ich möchte nicht wissen, wie es in der Küche aussieht! Fakt: Hier fehlt das Management/ eine Führungskraft! Bewertung schwierig, zumal die Unterkunft TOP wäre! Wir haben einen Nachmittag drüben im anderen Hotel beim großen Pool verbracht - TOP Service, Barmitarbeiter war sehr freundlich, alles war gepflegt und sauber - hier kann man sich wohl und willkommen fühlen!

So great! Food was amazing and service was spectacular. We only stayed two nights but have said since we left we wish we had stayed longer - tremendous experiences at a Sundowner tour and at Etosha. The outdoor showers in the lodges are amazing, we loved it even when it was less than 50 degrees F!

Wonderful place in the middle of nature close to Etosha National Park Namibia. Superfriendly staff who will do anything to make your stay the most comfortable. Luxury Tent accommadation with fully equipped bathroom and a bath on the balcony with a view. Great food, good spa and stunning views

What a stay! The whole team was welcoming and very friendly. the rooms were very nicely decorated and fantastic views, the animals even came by. The food and the cocktails were excellent. The morning ride was the best in Namibia and very educational. We are very grateful for this unique experience and the great team that we got to know. thank you Waka waka, Alex, Lidia, Marta, Nangula and all the others. You made our stay in Namibia unique and carry these memories in our hearts ❤️

This property offered a beautiful, rugged landscape in highly pleasant and well-apportioned tented accommodations. It was exceptionally quiet and blended remarkably well with the environment.

This resort falls way below the expected standard. As a frequent traveller throughout Africa, extensively in Namibia and South Africa and living in Tanzania, this is by far the poorest experience we have had. This was evident right from the start when we, and all of our luggage, were taken to the wrong lodge. What was meant to have been our lodge had been wrongly given to another family earlier in the day. This took the person checking us in, 15 minutes to realise, whilst we stood outside the vacated lodge in the midday sun. We were then given a lodge further down the complex. This room, which was set up for future guests, had the welcome information in their name. This was swiftly removed by the person checking us in. We never got to read the welcome information as the new letter brought to us later in the day also had the wrong details on. This was also taken by the check in person. Later in the day, as we left to sit by the pool, we were greeted by the check in person who apologised and asked if we wouldn't mind moving to a new lodge the next morning. It seems that the manager who directed her to ask us did not feel able to have the conversation with us theirselves. As we sat by the pool and were given a drinks menu, we ordered two cocktails, only to be told that these were unavailable and they only had the ingredients to make two from the long list. From the list of gins, there were also only two available from the list. As the bar was not set up, these drinks took over half an hour to make. We sat down to dinner, which was over half an hour late. Tired, after a long day of travelling and the issues at check in, we quickly ate and asked for desert. Dessert was to be a surprise as the waitress did not know what it was. Another waiter then came over and told us that dessert was not going to be served for a while as they wanted us to “experience the atmosphere”. What this actually meant was to the staff wanted time to perform and sing briefly, for which they then handed around a pot for tips. This is the point at which we left, without dessert. Maybe the owner should pay the staff more, which would enable them to focus on their core roles. The resort would also benefit from the presence of the owner to see how poor the service and experience is. At this price point this lodge should offer a much better experience. Almost all others, in this region do. Save your money and book with them.
