Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve

Where to start?? I stayed two nights here, so a total of 5 or 6 game drives. I was welcomed warmly upon arrival and then headed out on my first game drive with Mo and Advice. The staff were wonderful overall, just went out of their way to do anything possible to make your stay better. My room was immaculate, and I loved my patio and private plunge pool...though the challenge with safari stays is that you never feel like you get quite enough time to truly enjoy the lodge and room vs. taking advantage of being out on game drives! The food was generally great overall (I would have loved a sweet option at breakfast, such as pancakes, but that's a nitpick), great drink options, and I can't imagine how you could ever be hungry here...food all the time! And then WOW the game drives! I've included a few pics here, but I can't speak highly enough about how amazing they were. We saw all sorts of animals over the course of the drives, from leopards and lions to the rare cheetah, elephants and giraffes and zebras, tons of wildebeests, impala, kudu, hyenas, water buffalo...just so much! Advice and Mo were so skilled, patient, and knowledgeable, knew the landscape and the animals' behaviors so well. And I loved our morning coffee/"bush mix" stop and evening sundowners. I'd come back to Leopard Hills in a heartbeat!

Leopard Hills was fantastic. The staff was so warm and friendly and attentive to our every need. Our comfort and safety was at the top of their minds. We loved our beautifully decorated accommodations with an awesome few of the bush. You never knew when you might see elephants, giraffe, buffalo or leopard in view! The food was delicious and the staff would dine with us. They have such interesting and different lifestyles than what we are used too so it was fun to get to know them. Our romantic dinner for two in our room was a lovely surprise and they really outdid themselves in decorating the room for a romantic dinner. Finally, our twice daily game drives were outstanding. You never knew what you were going to find, but halfway through you were guaranteed to enjoy either the BEST muffins and coffee in the morning or a happy hour in the bush at sunset.

We had 5 game drives and saw the Big Five plus more! Our guide Justin was knowledgeable and entertaining. The accommodations were top notch 5 Star. The food was diverse, exquisitely prepared by a 5 Star chef. The staff was welcoming and always catered to our wants and needs. Upon leaving we were greeted by Dustin to wish us farewell. Would highly recommend.

Everything was first class. The meals and accommodations were outstanding, but the service was even more commendable. Every day was an amazing safari experience; thanks to our guide Justin and trackers, "Bongs" and Ronny. The entire staff was attentive to our every needs, thus creating a once in a lifetime experience.

This is a GREAT safari experience and lodge!! Staff, food, vibe, animals, lodging and excitement …all were an A plus. Would highly recommend, especially the staff and our charismatic guide Stewart ! We have traveled the world and the thing that often lacks in most other places we have visited is passion and and true sense of caring. We did not find this at Leopard Hills. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, caring and passionate about Africa and the animals. The same was seen with food and house keeping. We saw SO many animals ! Many leopards, lions, wild dogs ,rhinos, elephants, impalas, giraffes and even a cheetah in their natural environment. There are two safari drives each day around 6 am and 4 pm. Very comfortable jeeps with open seats 2 across, not three. The Am drive can be chilling , but with a hot water bottle and blankets provided you are warm. A truly memorable, exciting experience…My wife who had some hesitation about going on a safari came to love the entire experience. Dr Bruce And Linda Omaha, USA.

What can I say......we've done a few safari based holidays in the past but can honestly say, what an amazing experience our 4 night stay was with the whole Leopard Hills team Everyone was both professional and so friendly, it really does put you at ease from the very start 10/10 for the welcome, the rooms, the game drives, all staff (especially our Ranger and tracker, Justin and Ronald) the food, the atmosphere and for anything else I've forgotten. Even our last day, waiting for our transfer to arrive, we were set up with snacks and drinks and the TV on the desired channel to watch the Ryder cup golf! (Sorry to our American pals) nothing is too much trouble When in the future, we do return to Africa, it will 100% be back to Leopard Hills for us ❤️❤️

This was an amazing experience. The entire Lodge is very small, 8 houses only. The staff is overwhelmingly kind and friendly. Like a family. The ranger Johan and the spotter Ron were amazing. Johan was very knowledgeable and answered any questions. The experience seeing all the animals was very calm and rewarding. We saw all big 5 within 2 game drives. And incredibly close by so I could take amazing photos even with my iphone. We will be back.

A ‘LastMinute.com’ booking turned out to be much better than ever anticipated. Upon arrival we were taken to a most tastefully appointed room with adjoining lounge leading onto pario and pool. This set us up for a most relaxing 3 night stay. Staff attentiveness and service by Duncan and his team was discrete and beyond sufficient. No request was excessive. All meals were well prepared. Choices of items was plentiful from menus that were classic and simple. Our ranger Justin had a most expressive demeanour beautifully dramatising the ebb and flow of wars and comings and going’s of leopard families and lion pride battles over time in the area. While luck plays a large part in the enjoyment of a game drive, Justin took this further making sure these drives were never hurried. Although the gym was never used it was well kitted out. In room WiFif functioned well. Paths to rooms from the general areas are paved reducing the sensation of excessive dust associated with some lodges. The view from the elevated outdoor dining area overlooking a watering hole adjacent to a stunning plain is beyond magnificent and one can spend hours watching the activity that comes and goes. We left after 3 days reluctantly knowing we would return.
