The Inn at English Harbour

Wonderful service and location. Food at The Terrance was of poor quality and cold. It is a shame because this seems to be a common thread. We participated in Italian night and unfortunately unless a change is made we will not be back. Again, the staff (waiters bartender etc.) Were fantastic.

We stayed at The Inn for 10 nights (with several other couples) whilst competing in Antigua Race week and had a very good experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful. In particular Mirium, Stacey, Wesley, and Vere the boatman. The location is also magical and we stayed in one of the Beach Cabanas - where we woke up each morning to the gentle sound of the waves - just metres from the sea. All in all, the hotel is difficult to fault, and I really appreciated the heritage of the property, but there are a few areas where I think it needs to modernise: - Our bathroom was very basic and badly needed updating. Not even 4* let alone 5. - Our room lacked a desk to work at and a USB port. Pretty essential in this day and age. - The gift of a water bottle on arrival is a nice touch but they should also provide drinking water in the rooms free of charge and deliver ice daily. For me, The Calabash in Grenada is the best hotel in the Caribbean and The Inn gets remarkably close. In fact it is almost perfect.

Fabulous location and a delightful small hotel with great decor and fantastic staff. We stayed in a beach cabana which we loved being straight onto the beach. It was great to site on our patio especially at night. We will be back.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Inn. The Staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and stylish . The beach and the view from the beach is spectacular. There is a free water shuttle into Nelson’s dockyard , where you can get into Falmouth and taxis are always available to go to local restaurants. One cannot wish for a nicer hotel in Antigua. Highly recommended.

Finally, the perfect adult retreat! This resort offered us everything we were looking for in an adult getaway. Staff and amenities were 5 star. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the resort offers water toys for daily use at no additional charge. The quiet bay directly in front of the Inn is so clean and accessible. My husband swam in the ocean every day. Staff bend over backwards to offer anything you could possible need/want, the food in the both restaurants superb. I am a vegetarian, and they were more than happy to accommodate me. The highlight was the daily tea offered at the beach restaurant; freshly made pastries daily and wonderful selection of teas. We are making plans to return next spring. With regard to driving, it's a challenge if you are unfamiliar with driving on the left side of the roadway, and street signage is non-existent. Next time we will not rent a car, and simply use taxis for the few excursions we plan. We participated in one excursion; Springhill Riding Club. It was amazing and Kent was such a wonderful guide. No riding experience required. Truly a bucket list adventure.

I stayed for just over two weeks in the Hillside Suite, A magnificent view to wake up to every morning. The team in all areas are friendly and welcoming, always looking for way to assist and help when ever you need them. Breakfast at the Reef Restaurant on the beach was always a great way to start the day. Check in on the Executive chef and he was always be willing to prepare you the most amazing meals. Close by there are some wonder walks along the coastline to the Infamous Shirley Heights or the Mermaid Pools Captain Vere is always available for a quick boat ride to Nelson Dockyard - A Must see and Whilst the culinary delights are awesome at the Resort, being close to English Harbour gives more options as well. The resort is set in the most serene cove, protected naturally and always calm (well when I was there) and just genuinely peaceful. A Must see and i will be back in a heart beat - Thank you to the Team at the Resort

We are actually here at the moment. My wife and I along with our two sons aged 17 and 25. It has been a fabulous experience to date. Wonderful, helpful and humorous staff. Superb food (at both the Reef and Terrace). A friendly and "present" manager and head chef. Two fantastic rooms. And then you have the location, on beautiful laid-back Galleon Bay, with the ability to easily pop into English Harbour for a change of scenery. It has ticked so many boxes for us and we're seasoned travellers, so much so that even after this first visit The Inn has jumped straight into our shortlist of "best ever". What a change from the "usual suspects" and what a find. But please, don't come.

Another wonderful stay at this beautiful elegant resort. Driving through the gates to the main building on the hill was like returning home, and the team that make the Inn so special distant friends you are keen to catch up with. We had an incredible upper floor suite which was the largest room I have ever stayed in. Sleeping in the giant four poster felt like pure luxury. We loved the fact that we had the tennis courts and cool serene library to ourselves every morning. Yes, there are a few ares they can improve on, which I am sure the new customer experience manager will take care of. We noticed that the breakfast, whilst still excellent (we love the Inn surprise) , no longer had plated fruit and freshly squeezed fruit juices which was a shame as it was a special touch. We stayed half board and enjoyed flexing our meals between lunch and dinner so we could explore restaurants in the harbour. I had the best tuna salad ever at the reef restaurant, the evening dinners at the terrace were perhaps not as good, but the location, ambience and views of the terrace are superb - it’s a special place. We have stayed at almost all of the 5 star hotels on the island, and are very fortunate to split our holiday staying at 2 locations to gain different experiences, we always however return to the Inn. We have already booked our 4th return, and we can’t wait!!!

We have just returned from the Inn at English Harbour. This is our first visit, and it was 5* in every respect. The staff took care of our every wish and need. The bedrooms were beautiful and the bed so comfortable. The food at both the beach restaurant ant the terrace restaurant surpassed our expectations comparing favourably with both Barbados and the Maldives where we have traditionally started our year. We will return.
