Seth Mestral & Llebeig

Enjoyed a week here in June, weather was gorgeous We stayed in the Mestral side of the accommodation in a 2 bedroom apartment. The living room was spacious with fully fitted kitchen, tv , sofa bed and a large bathroom. Both bedrooms had twin beds with large wardrobes and plenty space for clothes. One bedroom also had an en-suite bathroom We had a large terrace with table and chairs and a large airer for drying clothes. The airer was snapped so wouldn't stay up however it didn't take long for it to be replaced with a brand new one. Meals are opposite the apartments with a great selection of items for breakfast. Evening is also buffet, the menu gets pinned on a notice board every morning. Evening meals I found fine but could have done with being a little bit hotter. 3 nice pool areas one being the children's splash pool. Beside that was a decent sized play area however there was no shade so it was a bit hot for the kids to play on during the day. There is a little supermarket opposite the apartments, and a few other in resort. Resort not huge but was fine for us with the extended family ranging from 1-79 years old. Lovely wooden walkway to the beach and can walk along the coastal path taking in stunning views of the sea.

Great location with an amazing beach only a 2 min walk away from the apartments. Restaurant and staff were amazing, varied choices every day. This is a family resort and mostly suited for families with younger kids; it can get quite busy at meal times with so many kids. Disappointed with the apartments however: smelly, leaky showers, temperamental air conditioning. All issues were reported and dealt with however there is only so much the very hardworking maintenance and cleaning staff can do with such old and tired buildings. The pool area and pool bar are also in serious need of attention.

We have just returned from a family holiday here with a 3yr old and a 7yr old. Its a beautiful place and great for children. Both of my children loved the pool and the beach, however weren't a fan of the food so we ate out of the hotel a couple of evenings. The evening bouncing castles were fantastic! Hours of fun for the kids. I do however have a couple of issues that let the stay down. On the first night I went to reception and let them know the sofa bed was broken. The metal underneath was hanging off and fell in the middle. A maintenance man came with 10 mins and cable tied it together stating he would be back in the morning with a new bed. The next day the bed didnt come. I asked again when I seen him and he said he said now the next day. We gave up and just slept on the dodgy bed. It was so uncomfortable and metal bits sticking up which caused bruises all over my legs getting in and out of it. Our bins weren't taken for the whole week we was there. When asking the cleaner, she said they only take bathroom trash so a week worth of food and nappies piled by our door and endless amount of water bottles collated under the sink. Our clothes airer was also broken, reception said this would be replaced. Again this never happened. As I say, it has the potential to be a great place but our stay was let down a little unfortunately.

We visited Seth Mestral in late May, on our first summer holiday abroad, with a four year old and two year old. We couldn't have selected a nicer destination for our first foreign holiday. A few weeks prior to traveling, we requested an apartment near the splash pool and were delighted when we were given our two bedroom apartment directly facing the splash pool. Apartment- well equipped for self catering although we were half board. Bedrooms were spotless and cleaned daily. Pool- both main pools spotless with plenty of sun loungers and no hoggin with towels. Splash pool cleaned most days by maintenance. Water slightly on the cool side, but kids had a great time once in. Pool Bar- this was staffed from lunch to late afternoon, with a good selection of food and drinks. Restaurant- we were absolutely delighted with the excellent selection/variety of food, chefs replenished repeatedly. There is a kids buffet with plenty of pasta to suit the fussiest kids including our own. The dessert selection was our favourite Staff- the staff made the holiday, they greeted us every night, spoke to kids and gave them high fives and lollipops. The restaurant general manager and all his staff despite being busy, always took time to get and chat. A credit to the hotel. The hotel general manager is lovely and we even got a hug from her on our departure. Beach/entertainment- beach, a two minute walk away. Our daughter loved the soft play (we insist on buying the block tickets to save money daily) and the Disney show that took place on the Saturday. It was a fantastic experience and no doubt we would love to go back sometime in the future. TIP- there are lots of mosquitos about Santo Tomas so definitely stock up on insect repellent especially to protect children.

Everything about our stay was exceptionally good. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our apartments were spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The pool areas are large, good for swimming and play, and the kids' splash pool with slides and water spouts are safe and fun for toddlers. The kids' entertainment was thoroughly enjoyed by our 5 and 2 year olds. The self-service buffet diner exceeded all expectations. The waiters were attentive and the seating areas attractively spaced. The range of foods on offer was wide and varied daily. Every dish was well-presented and proved delicious; the staff clearly take pride in its production. Thank you to all the staff who work hard to make this destination a success. We hope to return.

Just returned from a week's holiday via jet2 with children aged 5, 7 and 21 months. Whilst we were waiting to check in one of the managers gave our two oldest children a pack of cars each which was such a nice start to the holiday. Booked a two bed apartment which was a great size. Main bedroom ensuite. Kitchen had an oven and hob, large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster. Also had a Nescafé dolce gusto machine and you can buy the capsules from the hotel reception (worked out cheaper than the supermarket). I had emailed ahead to request a travel cot which was chargeable and I had also requested to be in a ground floor apartment and away from the entertainment. We were put in the llebeig side directly opposite the restaurant, bouncy castles and trampolines etc so were initially worried about the noise but it was not a problem at all. The pool on the llebeig side was much quieter than on the Mestral side. Both pools have their own bars and toilets so there is enough space between the two and the splash pool for the amounts of residents. We didn't have trouble securing any sunbeds, the only limiting thing were umbrellas which seemed few and far between. The splash pool is surrounded by sunbeds but only had 2-3 umbrellas which was slightly annoying. The floor around the splash pool also gets incredibly hot so would definitely recommend some water/non slip pool shoes for kids. I cannot say enough positive things about the girls who run the kids activities, mini disco and entertainment. They were absolutely fantastic! We were actually in an apartment next to them and they were also great neighbours. The amount of things on offer for kids is fantastic. Face painting every night, mini disco, crafts, pool games, archery etc. The bouncy castles and trampolines are chargeable and you can buy a pass for 6 visits for 24 euros which we bought for our two boys to share. The bar is right next to it so you can sit and watch with a drink. The restaurant was abit disorganised at times and the food was hit and miss. Never been to a resort before where people actually queue at the doors for it to open. The main issue with it is that it's half the size it should be for the size of accomodation it serves. There's no air con inside so it's also very hot and inevitably attracts flys. We visited the week before kids broke up from school so can only imagine it will get busier. Lots of things run out and can take a while to be refilled, there are long queues at the dessert section as it's tiny and they were constantly running out of plates. You would have to wait for plates to be restacked which were boiling hot straight out the dishwasher and they weren't always very clean. If we were to stay again I would definitely be more inclined to book bed and breakfast rather than half board. The supermarkets nearby are well stocked but of course are pricey. The one down by the TUI hotel has a bakery at the back and they make up baguettes and you choose the fillin
