The River Lee Hotel in Cork

Very disappointed, didn’t get the room we booked . Staff told us we had the room we booked despite the paperwork we were holding saying otherwise . They agreed after we produced the paperwork and next day moved us to the correct room and then only discounted 50euro . The attitude at the desk was unforgivable and ruined our first day . I couldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone as they will just give you what ever room is available regardless of what you pay for . I wouldnt trust them and would never go back

We had one night in Cork before a bike trip and stayed at this lovely hotel. The location is excellent, the room is well appointed but the real treasure is Lav, the bartender from Croatia in the cosy lobby cocktail lounge. Lav’s professionalism and commitment to customer service rose above the expected to the exceptional. Thanks, from some grateful Americans.

My wife and I stayed at the River Lee Hotel on November 19th. We booked the River Club Bar and Terrace Restaurant for an evening meal. Our two adult children joined us. As our son has an allergy to the protein in chicken and egg, I contacted the Restaurant on the previous day to draw attention to this . Tom, the Restaurant Manager rang me back and went down through the menu with me and assured me that the staff would cater to his needs. When we were seated on the night, Tom was at our table almost immediately and again assured my son of the dishes that he could have. Even the chips were cooked in a separate oil. Other Restaurants could learn from this. To top it all they had a special vegan dessert menu and again this is a rarety in other restaurants that we have visited . All of our party gave the meal ten out of ten and the staff that served us were so efficient and friendly. Well done to Tom and all his staff. We will be back.
