HOTEL VOGELWEIDERHOF: The person at the reception, who preferred that I not name them here, was extremely friendly to talk to, provided details of buses in and around the area and recommended how we can map the touristy spots such that we can make the most out of the limited time. The hotel management's response time to our queries before check-in was good - they responded within 24 hours. The hotel has a lift. The hotel is close to Salzburg Central (a.k.a. Salzburg Hbf) but when we visited, there was only 1 direct bus with a very limited frequency and at times it was 5-10 mins late. The frequency and delays depend upon which day of the week one is planning to travel. So if one doesn't have too much luggage, one could take bus no. 3 or 6 from Salzburg Hbf to Mirabelplatz and then take bus no. 21 from there to the hotel. Not sure if these bus numbers or routes would change. So, do your research before travelling. The room was a basic one with standard provisions of toiletries, fresh towels, linen, tea/coffee maker but no tea/coffee ingredients, TV, fridge. The hotel restaurant has very limited veg options. It's a typical B&B, so the kitchen is closed outside of breakfast timings. There aren't many restaurants nearby the hotel. So, one could either order via the food delivery app (foodora) online or finish dinner before returning to the hotel. If given a choice, ask for a room in their main building where the breakfast room is. They even have an annex but all guests from there have to come to the main building for breakfast and since it was raining badly when we visited, it's better to stay in the main one. Heaters in the rooms were working as per European standards however for those travelling from hotter countries, may feel that the heaters aren't working properly.
