Parade School Guest Rooms

Craig was a welcoming and friendly host. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We requested a second bedside lamp which was added to our room. The room was comfortable with some storage for our clothes. A nice touch was a separate lounge downstairs with a coffee machine and from where we could top up our tea and water supplies. The location was excellent. Parking discs were also available - a nice touch. The only thing that caught us by surprise a couple of times was the beam across our bedhead (it was an attic room). We did bang our heads a couple of times when trying to read in bed.

We felt like we were living in a pixie’s room. Everything was too small. The room was small, the bathroom was small, the washbasin was small, the towels were small and the duvet was small. I am a 16 stone 6 foot male but I felt like I had eaten a growth potion. oh and the window wouldn’t close fully at night and the heating came on early. I don’t think we will be back.

A great place for a stay in Berwick-upon-Tweed. We booked on the road (actually in a car park near Alnmouth) and arrived a little over an hour later. The owner was very helpful (gave us a parking disc for the short stay car park opposite, directions to the free long-stay round the corner), the room was huge and it was very well appointed (very, very nice furniture throughout). The location was spot on, just a 5 minute walk from attractions, restaurants etc. It was excellent value. It's bed only rather than bed & breakfast - though there is a lounge with coffee and biscuits available for residents - but it was a very comfy bed!

We had a double room and a family room. Rooms are old fashioned in a lovely way that suits the building, rolled wooden beds etc. There is a nice communal room with snacks, a fridge in the room and nice toiletries. The beds were a bit soft for us, but that's personal taste.

We came in by the end of the afternoon. We had a quick shower in our tiny bathroom. The rooms are small but you have everything you need. We enjoyed our stay here. On the ground floor you can find a coffee machine and some snacks to grab. We took a juice there and had our breakfast before continuing our journey towards Edinburgh. Great place to stay and not expensive.

Great location and lovely building. Hosts were friendly and there was a nice communal lounge, where residents could make teas and coffees and enjoy a snack. Room was quite small and sadly, a little tired. However, we did enjoy our stay.
