Newmarket

Returning to our room at about 7pm, we were relaxing but at 10pm when we wanted to sleep there was banging from above like a child running around, we complained twice and was told there arent children on the floor above us (it must have been a dwarf). Then the room next door came back and we could hear everything they were saying, which left us not wanting to talk much to each other. There was only 2 tea bags and 2 coffees in the room not enough and not even proper toilet roll, it was a paper dispenser. Curtains were in poor condition. We had paid for breakfast but decided at 7am, we just wanted to leave and get home picking up a breakfast from Macdonalds. We were fed up of hearing the room next door do the deed, and coughing constantly. Bed was comfy! We wont be returning unfortunately.

Worst hotel ever,Don't bother sound quality is poor,everything is poor. Worst nights sleep ever Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a 3 night business stay which ticked all the boxes. Our rooms were very clean and the beds were really comfortable. I had the best 3 nights sleep ever, and for the first time in years I woke up without backache every morning! The restaurant and bar were great to relax in after work and the food was really good and inexpensive. The cooked breakfasts were really good and cooked to order; no chewy bacon here that had been in a heater for hours! All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. There is a car park close by with a certain amount of reserved spaces but if you’re in a vehicle over 2m in height you’ll have to park a little way down the high street in the TK Maxx car park and it is free overnight.

Such a lovely hotel. Sandra and Amanda were amazing, they were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The Premier Plus rooms are definitely worth the extra cost. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Will be staying here again when in Newmarket!

The reception staff are extremely helpful - nothing seems to much trouble. At breakfast, Dermott tirelessly guides guests through the menu choices and provides attentive service. Service like this is just great when away from home - makes you feel looked after and comfortable.

Great stay with three rooms for the family. Great service, helped us check in, clean rooms with good facilities. The highlight was the breakfast, large room, good range and wonderful service, willing to accomodate our breakfast choices, and great value.

Check in was speedy. Location was fine as we were due to meet family in the area the next day. Room 118 was a corner room with a balcony that had no access to. Meant little privacy in both sets of windows of the room (one to the left was some sort of office block that could see straight through the room, the patio looked directly across to the cars and traffic and Waitrose). Chocolate wrappers under the bed on arrival. Generally dated hotel and did not feel clean (dust gathered in the corners of the room). Noisy due to facing the Main Street. Temperature in the room was hard to navigate and made dripping sounds. Car park situation was not ideal as you park in the Guineas car park and limited number of available free bays for hotel guests. Luckily we were out for dinner otherwise would have had to pay to park whilst we checked in. It did mean that overnight, as the limited bays weren’t available, we had to park in the non-secured car park. Youths hanging around in the car park throwing bottles. Had to move the car early in the morning to avoid being charged/wait for other guests to check out. Single slices of toilet paper being dispensed in the rooms also a questionable choice.

Took more than half an hour to check in as there was no-one at reception. We was ringing the bell and even considered picking up the Wally talky left on the side just to get someone to come and serve us. This was 7pm in the evening

The location of the hotel was perfect for us and there was a car park, with designated parking spaces just across the road for hotel guests. The staff at check in were very helpful. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast at the hotel. Plenty of choice for both continental and cooked breakfast but the cooked breakfast was not really to my liking.
