1 Island Hideaway

Stayed the month of Jan. 2022, provided pictures are a bit dated, condition of property is fair. Hot tub and pool are across the street from 166-176 and on a strict electrical budget $ timer, not really available when you want to use them. With typical 50 degree nights the pool was colder than the gulf water and virtually was used little or not at all. Hot tub is not heated during the day to offset the extremely cold pool. If you want a heated pool and readily available hot tub, look elsewhere. The 165-176 property patio area is pretty unkept with walmart plastic Adirondack chairs. Somewhat of a storage area for scattered clutter, ladders, tools, remodeling materials, refuse trailer, old jet ski, old boat etc. Owners side of street much nicer, of course. Mid-island location on Estero Blvd. is great, 3 min. walk to the beach. Hosts were pleasant and the property is clean and comfortable. Only 1 TV for 3 rooms in Orchid unit, 1 of 2 clothes dryers sorta worked, really long multiple dry cycles. , AC and heat worked , hot water was adequate , however the bathroom was not completed for tile work and accessories. We had our dog with us and paid $7,600.00 months up front , including $300.00 for the dog and $125.00 for cleaning We vacuumed dog hair ourselves weekly even borrowing a different real vacuum that picked up hair. Our last night ,we had an unfortunate spill of a cup of plain chicken soup on a pretty generic bed comforter, that we ran out of time to wash. I wasn't aware of the stain at checkout. Without the courtesy of any call or notice, the Owner quickly charged my reservation debit card $299.00 for damage to the comforter within hours of our checkout. Chicken soup stain? I would have paid dry cleaning if asked? Unfortunate, easy money with your card on file. We wanted to return, not anymore.
