Went to breakfast and when I returned to my room, the key was no longer working.
Waited in line for about 5 minutes at the front desk because there were about ten other guests whose room keys were also no longer working.
Front desk person said it was likely that the room keys were too close to our phones. My key was nowhere near my phone - and I can't speak for the other ten guests, but it's not likely that ALL of their room keys were too close the their phones causing them all to malfunction.
As we were leaving the hotel, there were even more people in line to reactivate their room keys.
Clearly this was not a customer phone/key issue.
