Mariana Inn Maldives

I want to share a story. I’m not believe that something will changing and this person will suffer some kind of punishment, BUT GUESTS OF THIS HOTEL SHOULD TO KNOW. Please read till the end. I stayed with my mom and my little daughter for 25 beautiful days on Gaafaru island, but not in this hotel. One day, the workers of this hotel prepared a birthday party for one of the guest on the tourist beach. It’s was Tables, balls, flowers, etc. these are balls began to scatter along the beach and fall into the ocean, burst and roll on the sand. We went , collected and return to them. I was nice and asked if we need to leave the beach when the guests are coming, we can do it and we actually did it, even though the beach is public. Same day In the evening at 7-8pm we decided to come to the beach and try our luck, I know that you can see glowing plankton in the Maldives. What was my disappointment when, instead of a miracle of nature, I saw how this nature is polluted by people who were born there. All the balls just floated in the water. I would collect them all, but in clothes and with 1.5 y.o baby on my hands it is not safe to go to the ocean at night. At the exit from the beach, we met these guys, they were sitting on their bikes. I started with the words: “sorry guys, but there are all balls in the ocean” . They answered: “go swim and collect them ha ha." I said that this is not funny ...and already started go way to hotel and one if them big guy with curly hair said: “F*ck u And they repeated it 10 times. I asked why are you doing this? This is nature, this is beauty, we must protect it. And again I heard : “F*ck u” . I said that I would go to the police and take a photo of this guy. As soon as I took out the phone, he jumped off his bike, pulled out my phone very rudely, my daughter was so scared, she was sitting on my hands . I barely got my phone back. My hand still hurts. It was terrible and embarrassing . I was there alone without my husband and protection, my little daughter and my mother begged me not to go to the police, she was afraid for us. And I understood that the police would not do anything ... on like this places all brothers and relatives. And I tell this story when I am already at home in Dubai.

If you ever want to go to Maldives (or any country for that matter) you should be looking experience the local way of life with locals.. in resorts as Maldives is famous for it will be same as in any where in the world.. you will spend a lot and do same things you can do if you stay in a local place among friendly and helpful locals.. AT Mariana inn we had the best ever holiday.. and we never expected it to be so amazing.. Very friendly staff.. helpful and pleasant locals.. clean and comfortable rooms and of course good food.. 2 minutes walk to the beach and you will see sharks, rays and many types of reef fishes even from the beach.. Staff can arrange various other activities for you too. Every tree in the village has hammocks and you can relax in any of them as you wish.. No ATMs in the village but local shops accept cards. You can walk around the whole island in 15 minutes. Special thanks to Waseef for taking us to see Nurse sharks and the great photos and videos and Mahmoud and the Guys for Food and other services at the hotel. Hoping to see you again for a longer stay! Highly recommend for everyone looking for authentic Maldivian holiday with the amazing Maldivian sea for a fraction of the prices you will pay at so called resorts!!!

Appena rientrati da 12 giorni alle maldive in questa guesthouse. La struttura é decisamente molto basic : stanza essenziale con letto e un microarmadio ( tenete tutto in valigia se ci andate ), nessun balcone vivibile ma solo una ringhiera di legno , nessun frigo e un bagno discreto ( acqua maleodorante causato sa problemi alla rete fognaria dell'isola...si spera che sia andata male solo a noi in questo periodo). Il.cibo é molto limitato ( 4 piatti a rotazione per tutto il.periodo e frutta scarsissima perché in quelle zona sembra essere un vero lusso ). In se la struttura poteva anche essere accettabile visto il basso prezzo, quello che ci é dispiaciuto parecchio é proprio la condizione dell'isola ( non é da imputare alla struttura ma a chi avrebbe dovuto quantomeno avvisarci ) ...l'isola altro non é che una grande discarica con una piccola spiaggia dedicata ai turisti . Che alle maldive ci siano problemi di smaltimento é chiaro ma qui si parla di un bel 70% dell'isola ! Ci si stringe il cuore a parlare così ma se una delle 2 cose fosse stata sopra il livello di accettabilità ci si sarebbe potuto passare sopra . Le escursioni sono comprese ma da notare che sono di 2 o 3 ore e non la giornata completa. Noi dopp 7 giorni un questa guesthouse e in questa isola abbiamo deciso di cambiare mood e ci siamo spostati a sud delle maldive per concludere le ferie in un altro contesto. Spero vivamente che chi andrà.dopo di noi prenda le dovute informazioni prima del viaggio e decida in base a quanto spirito di adattamento possiede.

Avevo letto decine di recensioni prima di partire e tutte mi confortavano sulla scelta fatta, la professionalità di Angelica supportava ancora di più la sensazione di aver azzeccato la scelta: è stata la vacanza più bella della mia vita! La sposina è affetta ora da maldivite cronica e sta già pensando di replicare. Posso soltanto confermare ogni bella parola o sensazione che tutti hanno espresso sulla location sullo staff sulle escursioni, su Angelica, le cui lodi avevo decantato dall' aereo prima di partire: la fiducia sulla fiducia. Il mio grazie speciale va a Waatte, che con i suoi video mi ha regalato dei ricordi che porterò sempre con me: troverò il modo di ringraziarlo!

Scelto questa Guesthouse su Facebook, certamente le recensioni non rispecchiano la mia realtà. La settimana di vacanza andava dal 13 febbraio al 21 febbraio 2024. appena giunti sull’isola siamo stati indirizzati su altra Guesthouse old Princess Inn , a dire della coordinatrice in Italia non vi erano più stanze nella Guesthouse Mariana Inn. La stanza era Molto piccola e maleodorante , non vi era un punto di appoggio e vi era un piccolo armadio dove si faceva fatica a mettere i vestiti, non vi erano i comodini, non c’era un frigorifero, però fortunatamente avevamo la finestra con vista appena mare considerando che in alcune stanze avevano la vista con tetto in Ethernet ed altre stanze senza finestre a cui avevamo dato il nome di la gabbia.per quanto concerne mangiare era ripetitivo e preparato ore ore prima e quindi di non facile degustazione. Per colazione le solite uova dei pancake discutibili dei wurstel di pollo delle marmellatte monodose e delle buone banane. Per quanto riguarda il pranzo e la cena vi era il solito riso Noodle la solita pasta scotta il solito pollo e nel pesce cotto in modo discutibile. Un problema grande era il sovraffollamento degli ospiti che faceva si Fi far coda e di non trovare le pietanze. Per quanto riguarda le escursioni erano molto brevi poiché gli stessi organizzatori cercavano di incastrare le uscite per i vari gruppi. Le escursioni si conoscevano la sera prima con orari certe volte assurdi ( snorkelling alle ore 14.00 dopo mangiato)…..personale molto carino ma a volte assente poiché impegnati per le escursioni ed altre faccende. Per quanto riguarda l”isola di Gaafaru la location non era delle più belle…in alcune zone vi era molta sporcizia….in conclusione vacanza appena sufficiente per la struttura ricettiva….ottima per il mare e la natura….(le Maldive sono sempre le Maldive)……questa recensione è frutto della mia esperienza (in passato ho fruito di ottime Guesthouse)….questa volta devo dire per quanto mi riguarda vi era qualche problema organizzativo…..il posto era idoneo per piccoli gruppi e non certamente per 30/40 persone….nella vita bisogna accontentarsi, si rischia di vedere gente non contenta…questo è il mio giudizio che si allineava con altre 6 coppie che si trovavano nello stesso periodo…di cui due sono andate via nei famosi resort….CONCLUSIONE FINALE : RISPARMIO GARANTITO MA GRANDE SPIRITO DI ADATTAMENTO…..QUINDI QUANDO CERCATE QUESTE SOLUZIONI A MIO PARERE BISOGNA SAPER LEGGERE ATTENTAMENTE LE RECENZIONI…
