Saint Francis Resort

I stayed at St Francis Resort with my two teens. We were in need of relaxation after a few stressful months, arrived exhausted, and left happy and rejuvenated. We loved the comfortable and clean room and the spectacular view of the ocean and the sound of the waves. The staff were so lovely, warm and attentive, and making sure we had everything we needed. We ate most of our meals at the restaurant on site and they were all delicious. I had fresh fish for dinner every night - in and of itself such a treat, and served with perfectly tender vegetables. A special shout out to the boat captain who was super responsive with helping us with rides and also helped us with local advice and answering questions.

We spent 4 fabulous nights at the St. Francis Resort. Richard and Julia, the new managers, were fantastic and always made sure we had everything we needed. Mari, our server, took great care of us and our meals at the Snappy Turtle were delicious. The views from both the Atlantic and Elizabeth Harbour sides of Stocking Island are incredible! It was a quick kayak trip to the famous Chat N Chill. We also enjoyed great lunches and the fabulous beach at the Peace & Plenty Beach Club, which is a pleasant 20 minute hike or a quick boat trip. Chacho, the boat driver, took us to Starfish Beach, home of Da Sand Bar, where we enjoyed several hours at yet another gorgeous beach. As described on the website, the rooms are basic but very comfortable with stunning views of the Atlantic. Always remember you’re in the Bahamas and on Island time, so just relax and enjoy the breathtaking views if things are taking a little longer than normal. It’s a unique experience with no roads, no cars and no stress - only the indescribable shades of blue from the water! You will not regret staying at the St. Francis Resort!

Quiet with amazing views! The managers went out of their way to accommodate and arrange anything we needed! The location was great for exploring and hiking around the island! The food was great as well! We will be back!

We stayed in a houseboat here at Saint Francis and loved the experience. The beach was incredible; we were the only ones on this gorgeous stretch of white sand overlooking beautiful hues of blue. Definitely more of a laid back, rustic type stay but perfect for disconnecting. Staff was super friendly and Coach’s was happy to take you back and forth in the skiff.

Great time staying here. Deserted, beautiful beach and nice views of the marina. Food was delicious at the restaurant. We stayed in the "round house" and the room was clean and very well maintained. The helpful and friendly staff also made the stay enjoyable.

Just recently returned from a wonderful 9 day stay at St. Francis. We stayed on the houseboat for the first time and loved it! It was very clean with decent space for my husband and I. The bed and couch were very comfortable. The kitchen had a full size refrigerator with a stove top and microwave. The air conditioning was excellent and kept the boat nice and cool. The front deck had two chairs which were great for enjoying the gorgeous sunsets over the harbor. The staff were so welcoming and did an excellent job assuring we had all we needed for our stay. The new managers, who will start in April, were wonderful. The included breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Meals and drinks at the restaurant were also very good. The friendly and relaxed laid back atmosphere with the gorgeous surroundings make this a very special place we will definitely return to. Thanks to the wonderful staff for such a memorable stay!

We just returned from a 9 night stay on one of the houseboats and loved it. The houseboat was very clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed and couch. The air conditioning was excellent. WiFi was decent on the boat. The staff were outstanding and so welcoming. The new managers, Richard and Julie were wonderful. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The beach was gorgeous and the views from everywhere are breath taking. Our meals and drinks were very good with a variety of choices. The simple, laid back atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend the houseboat and will definitely do that again. Can’t wait to return! Thank you to all at St Francis for making our stay so memorable.

Attentive staff, good food, clean rooms. No amenities, really. Room had no TV. Resort is also a marina, only reachable by quick boat ride from mainland. If you’re not boating, that can be a downside. There is no reception per se but you can reach them via txt message, but not always. Quick kayak ride away from a very neat beach club called Chat n Chill. Surroundings are absolutely gorgeous.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Our cottage directly on the sand boasted beautiful sunrises and lulling ocean waves. The Marina side is beautiful as well with views for days and wonderful sunsets. The restaurant serves 3 meals with many choices. We never had a bad meal. Thanks to manager Shay, Mari in the restaurant, and Cha Cho shuttle boat captain.
