Middle Flass Lodge

Look we knew what to expect so we were not surprised. We just wanted a stop off to sleep after a days visit to Clitheroe, and that's exactly what we got. The room is mega small but all ok - clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good. The hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome. Walls a little thin, could hear everything next door. Overall ok. But would choose somewhere different next time.

I had a lovely weekend visit here. The owners were very welcoming and provided fabulous service. Meals had to be pre-ordered but this didn’t detract from the experience for me and dinner and breakfast were both fabulous. I would definitely re-visit.

This was our second visit here albeit 4 years since the last We wanted somewhere special to take a couple as part of their wedding present and could not have picked anywhere better From the minute we rang up and booked knowing that they really only did meals for those who stayed with them to the minute we left ,the chef Nigel ,his wife Joan and the young lady (granddaughter I think ) could not have provided better food ,service or atmosphere if indeed we had been to a Michelin star restaurant The food was absolutely superb and although we had too pre book the food we wanted , this did not detract from the superb quality that was provided The restaurant is only small which adds to the special occasion that it was and superb setting added to that The food we had carried from prawn cocy,soup and mushroom stayers to chicken sea bass and steak for mains finished with a selection of sweets and washed down with mints and coffee Now hers the best bit ,it won’t be 4 years till we go again

Lovely classic and quaint Despite my late check-in, the folks at Middle Flass Lodge were ready to go. Very friendly and I was made to feel immediately welcome into their place. Classic and quaint.

We found the lodge very comfortable and enjoyed the breakfast. However we were expecting an evening meal but we were not informed that it was necessary to book this in advance. As a consequence it was necessary to drive to the nearest village to eat which was disappointing.

Joan Nigel and Lucy are welcoming and friendly. The guest house is absolutely spotless throughout and Nigel is an amazing chef. Dinner needs to be pre-booked and not cheap…but worth every penny. Breakfast to die for. Several complaints in reviews about weight gain due to the tempting menus!! It’s nice that Middle Floss isn’t modern: they’ve found a formula that works and have stuck with it. We will definitely visit and stay again: it’s a beautiful part of the world and very, very peaceful. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.
