Apartments at Number 10 the Abbey

4 parking spaces for 19 apartments which we were lucky by to get one the entry system is good the building hallways etc are well kept. To the room we had top floor corner room. Lovely when we walked it but then. Under the bed very dusty bathroom floor was OK. Water had been left in kettle from assume last guests . On room facilities says toothbrush toothpaste of which there wasn't. Iron someone had melted something on it at some point. Bathroom eg shower to start really needs alot of love silicone all over the place seal o bottom of shower screen really filthy. And shower head is blocked.with limescale cause it to spray out over the floor as the screen is on quarter glass panel. The towels supplied are no bigger than a hand towel.even tho robes supplied very hard to dry yourself properly.cutler would be better in drawer rather than on the bottom shelf of a cupboard.extractor fan didn't appear to work so bathroom got very steamy. For the price we paid not worth it as we have stayed in cheaper places with better facilities. Number 10 needs attention to detail

Dear Sir / Madam After our stay on Friday 6th June and after your email to give feedback, I felt it only right to give my feedback to you first. On arrival we wowed as we entered 10 The Abbey But we were shocked and disappointed to be told the room (Pensthorpe Gardens) we had booked on 10th January 2025 had been booked out to another guest, we had had No correspondence about this move before our stay . We were swapped to room Wymondham Abbey, Our first impression was "this looks nice ",but as we looked closer we we started to notice that the was not so good,Dirty and Tired. We first noticed the broken chandelier badly mended with sellotape, The bathroom floor has a broken and cracked tile and tile grouting missing from around a few tiles, A build up of dirt around and behind the toilet and in every corner of the floor, Grime and dirt and rust at the bottom of the shower screen, Black mouldy and loose silicone in the shower area, Mould and limescale all over the shower hose (when was the last time it had been cleaned). After I showered I dried myself in the bathroom and walked barefoot to the dressing table and noticed my feet were very dirty from the room floor so I had to wash them again, put on my socks and shoes to prevent them getting dirty again, NOT only was the floor very dirty and in need of a good thorough clean the flooring is coming apart in a few places. There is paint flaking of the walls around the bay window. And to cap it all when I went to bed the pillows Smelt Old and Musty as if the had been bought from a local charity shop. What a shame and disappointment and NOT what I was expecting after seeing yr glossy pictures and fancy blurb AND certainly NOT worth the £150 I paid for the one nights stay The phrase you can't judge a book by its cover comes to mind. On the pluss side the staff were pleasant and helpful but on checking out was asked if our stay was nice so I politely told her of my concerns and the lack of cleanliness of the room she said "she would look into them "and apologised But I would be grateful to hear your feedback on the points I have raised. Excellent place to stay. The rooms are well equipped, the location is perfect and the bed was super comfortable. It was perfectly clean and superb value for money for such a quality hotel. Only downside for us was that there wasn't a breakfast but to be fair they even had a deal at a local cafe but we didn't use the option!

Beautiful room, clean, bed was comfortable and staff that we interacted with were polite and friendly. Room was warm and decent cupboard space for clothes etc. My only issue would be the amount of coffee and tea available could be a little better but if that’s the only thing I can pick at well worth the stay

We were frustrated that we booked and paid on the same day, needed to cancel one of the rooms and were told no refund as they have a 60 day policy. We were not advised this prior to booking and it hadn’t even been a day.it wasn’t as clean as we first thought. Currently waiting for a response and happy to update late if possible. Everything looked nice but cleanliness wasn’t high on the agenda in my opinion. The banisters are sticky, the glass and carpets weren’t clean, there were lights not working but the whole place was roasting!! To be fair, we could escape the hallway into our room which had its own thermostat and we could open the window. The net (which wasn’t very clean) did fall down in doing this as not secure. The bed felt small, sheets weren’t fitted well and exposed the mattress. Bulb out in the bedroom. Wooden floor slats are separating quite badly and there is a loose tile in the bathroom. The sink taps turn on the wrong way and if you forget which way they should be, the whole tap spins around. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and I did take photos of this. I was asked if everything was ok and I did say yes, it wasn’t ok, but by this point it was too late anyway.

Beautifully decorated apartments with everything you need for a luxurious and comfortable stay. Helpful lady upon check in helped us switch rooms to be close to friends and then grab an extra heater or two to warm up the vast room with very high ceilings! Shower pressure needed to be looked in to and very slight leak from old fashion toilet but other than that it was superb with lovely finishing touches and a very comfortable huge bed.
