Black Horse Hotel

My fiancé and I visited The Black Horse during our first evening in Grassington & dined in the Morral Restaurant. What a great start to the holiday! The food was delicious (& reasonably priced) and staff were very friendly & helpful. We will definitely visit again. *****

We stayed at the Black Horse for 2 nights on a deal whereby the second night was free. The hotel is right in the centre of beautiful Grassington with all its amenities and walks nearby. We were in Room 15 which was a premium king with views. The room was on the 2nd floor looking down towards the main square. There wasn’t a lift. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were big and fluffy. The room wasn’t huge but had everything we needed and we particularly loved the complimentary extras like the beers, popcorn, crisps and the homemade shortbread. The room had a nice bathroom with large shower and even had a window, which was great for natural light and fresh air. I think it would’ve been better if we could’ve adjusted the room temperature ourselves but apart from that we had no complaints. The view of the sun setting from our room was amazing. The restaurant was called the Morral and the pre order breakfast was delicious and served promptly. We ate dinner there both nights and the food and service were very good. We really enjoyed the Thursday burger night where you could have burgers for 2 people for £25. They were very tasty and great value. We can’t wait to visit the Black Horse again.

We had a wonderful relaxing evening dinner at The Black Horse.. they were busy but fitted us in at short notice. We had the 'Mexican' dishes - Tex Mex and Fajitas.. and thoroughly enjoyed the food. A lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere.. the staff were really nice and engaging and altogether a really nice evening out.

Didn't eat here just popped in for a pint. The menu choice did look good though, and the bar and restaurant area were very busy with diners, so maybe we will eat here in our next visit The staff were friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere

Such a lovely meal in the restaurant. The food was excellent and they were very happy to alter the menu and accommodate my medical eating issues. Served by a young lady called Phoebe. So confident (being shadowed by a young trainee) Great evening

We visited the black horse twice during our visit. Once for just drinks and the following night for food. We found a warm welcome here and the food was lovely. I had the Pork loin and hubby the Coq au vin. We just had the ice creams for dessert which were also lovely. Afterwards there was a singer on because it was a Friday night and there is live entertainment. He was excellent and we stayed till end. We went for drinks the previous night and there was a Greek night on the restaurant which looked well supported. If you plan on eating in the bar check there are no speciality nights on in the restaurant because there is no food in the bar. All the tables still had all the salt and peppers out and menus dotted about with no notification of no food. We watched 4 tables walk out because there wasn't even a simple snack or reduced menu being offered. I think they are missing a trick there because quite a few people wanted to eat in the bar.
