Cotford Hotel

A friend who lives locally recommended the Cotford Hotel to our group for a school reunion. So, 10 of us (all now in our 60s) booked an overnight stay and dinner in L'Amuse Bouche restaurant. The service and assistance we received from initial booking right through to check out was excellent. Rooms are comfy and beautifully appointed, as are the Piano Lounge and Bar, and of course the restaurant itself. Our dinner was fabulous: real fine dining which looked and tasted fantastic.

My go to hotel when I need accommodation for visiting family. A real gem with comfort and great service. And cheaper than so called budget hotels in the area. Just a great place with a warm welcome and well appointed rooms. Not too mention Malverns best food too.

The staff were attentive, courteous and polite. We received a very warm welcome. The menu choices were fully explained and the food was excellent, presentation was faultless. We would not hesitate to recommend the Cotford Hotel to anyone. We had an amazing evening. Thank you Barbara and Chris, we wanted to go somewhere special and we did.

Amazing weekend at the Cotford Hotel in Malvern, where you arrive as an acquaintance and leave as a friend. Owners Barbara Anne Morgan and Chris Morgan understand the meaning of the word ‘hospitality’ better than most. Barbara with her warmth, creativity and highly-engaging, fun personality and Chris with his outstanding culinary skills, turning out plates which are rather like the Cotford’s leafy location - things of outstanding natural beauty. But that beauty is far from just skin-deep, incredible flavours and taste sensations literally punch their way onto the palate leaving you wanting more! Already Michelin-listed, it is surely only a matter of time until the sought-after star lands with a satisfying thud on the Cotford’s (rather elegant) doorstep? L’ Amuse Bouche is the Cotford’s aptly-named restaurant - remember that name as it will be amusing many a discerning bouche along it’s trajectory to stardom.

The hotel may look a bit like Basil's place, but it's far from it: very well run, in very good condition and with excellent food, a nice garden and friendly service. The bed was comfortable and the shower fine: all spotlessly clean. Dinner in the Amuse Bouche restaurant was first class, with a particularly good steak, and there was a quiet lounge for hotel guests for coffee after dinner. We enjoyed seeing how happy the waiting staff seemed to be behind the scenes. At breakfast, there was a good range of hot and cold dishes on offer, from melon, prunes and yoghurt to the full English or kippers. Recommended.

We moved into the area and were looking for a fantastic restaurant after living near the cotswolds and having lovely restaurants on our doorstep . WOW did we find one . !! Haven't stayed at hotel as we are so local but the restaurant is 5 star plus !! Amazing staff to start with and it just got better. Prawns to start .. fillet for main . No words can explain how gorgeous it was . We have tried 15 (new to us) restaurants so far in malvern before this one and never returned. This will now be our local!! PLEASE GO

We went for afternoon tea last year as a family and meant to write this review earlier, oops. We had a lovely afternoon, we found the food tasty and most of all we found the staff to be very lovely and friendly. We would return to this place without a shadow of doubt.

We recently had a two night pre Christmas break here and had a fabulous experience. The staff go above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable, always friendly and accommodating. The beds were incredibly comfortable ensuring a restful nights sleep. The highlight though was the amazing on site restaurant. The food was delicious, offering a diverse menu along with impeccable service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful and relaxing stay

Fabulous food and a fabulous place , the Christmas decorations were gorgeous and really gave the place the festive feel ! very friendly and homely with a welcoming host and lovely staff. The room was comfortable and warm with a view over the Malverns
