Hotel Frances

Very lovely place in a wonderful downtown location

Well this was a very nice historic building and that’s all it is. The rooms were far from 4 stars. The mattress was rock hard uncomfortable, the windows have no noise canceling,the bed sheets and cover were not clean, still had hair from the person before . Bathrooms were super out dated Had to run the water for five min before it was clear .If you want a good night sleep this isn’t the place for you.

If you are looking for a hotel with some history this is definitely the one. If you are looking for cleanliness and a sense of security, look elsewhere. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was great and there is plenty to do within walking distance!

The premium suite I reserved, was not available when I arrived. They had rented it to someone else. I had even taken the extra step of having an ******* agent call the property to verify that the "one of it's kind" room was for certain booked as my room. The hotel was full and no other suite rooms with a jacuzzi were available, so I had to stay in a dark, run down room with very old uncomfortable mattresses all in one room instead of having a separate room as expected for my guest. The bathroom tub/shower was broken/inoperable jacuzzi with grime in the cracks and around the broken jets. The towels were stained and frayed. I was just staying over to fly out the next morning and did not have an opportunity to find other accommodations 2 days before Christmas. I am Very disappointed with Hotel Francis and the condition of their rooms. I have stayed many times in the suite room and it is so bright and cheery with great amenities. This is by far the worst experience I have had there, and have no intentions of will booking again and take the chance of have that experience again.

The bed was very uncomfortable every time you moved it made a lot of noise. The room was overlooking the street which was also very noisy. The bathroom was very small.

Loved it. Extended my stay a whole week. It felt safe, staff was very helpful, and everything was close by. The only con I have is that the wifi is not strong on the 3rd floor. Looking forward to staying here again.

It was a true delight to be staying at the oldest hotel in Guadalajara. So Much charm and close to everything in the town centre. The staff were helpful with taxis and excursions and the sort. A very pleasant stay indeed

It is a hotel with the Magic of GDL. I recommend it. The Staff is very very friendly.

Dark and dingy. Elevator never worked and I am disabled using a cane. Had to climb stairs. Second level light kept dark day and night making it hard to navigate. Priced the same as Holiday Inn, which is world class with all amenities.
