The Greenwood Guwahati - A Luxury Boutique Hotel

Service of the hotel is too bad. To request something need to remind at least twice. To order something in the room it takes long time to reach.Spa doesn't have enough therapist. Food provided in the breakfast as very cold and poor quality.

Hotel was very good. Every one is very good. Priya was very help full. She is very smart n well behaved. Food was also very good. Room was very clean. Room service boy also very good. Breakfast was good. Overall every staff was good. Priya is very good.

The first next thing which will impress all is the location. It is away from city heavy noises but in convenient proximity to all tourist centers and business locations. The ambiance is nice. The front lobby can be improved in terms of ambiance. After all, a first impression of any hotel creates a lasting feel good feeling. A few more sofas would do good. Food at restaurant is very good with a lot of choices. Breakfast can be improved with little more fresh cooked variety. Rooms are spacious, well decorated , spotlessly clean. However, the prime USP of this hotel is the excellent people who serve the customers. From the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping - everything is very prompt , excellent and service with a smile. Here I take the opportunity to specially thank Mr. Joy Chakraborty, executive in front desk, who immensely helped us when we were stranded in Guwahati due to flight cancellation because of a cyclone. I also thank Rashmi for her wonderful prompt friendly service at the restaurant. Extremely nice experience - would surely visit again.

In room dinning order was taken wrongly. We ordered a two slices sandwich but they served two full sandwiches of two slices each. Even after I raised a complaint they refused to cancel the order taken wrongly by them and charged me double the amount.

The place is fabulous, highly recommend, the staff behaviour is so nice , Special thanks to Mr.Dipu (manager) he specifically arranged a pool in their resort property for my child as the hotel pool is under cleaning , really appreciated specially Mr. Dipu's hospitality

Excellent stay for us where we stayed for a night there and staff is excellent with good food options. We were on holidays and enjoyed being here. U will find good rooms better staff and well managed hotel with good location too Expect good weather most of the year soeacilly just before mansoon

The staffs were so hospitable, I requested them to decorate the room for a birthday surprise Mr Niranjan and Ms Subina decorated the room so well. The rooms are small but cozy, the food is ok but the amenities were good. They provided and cater to our needs.

Summary first: hospitality 4/5 Rooms 4.5/5 Washrooms 4/5 Staff manners 4/5 Food 4/5 “Luxury” feel: 3/5 The details Entry and location: GREAT. on the main road: close to the highway. Size: decent size hotel View: higher floors give a view of the foothills. But lots of urban construction around. Check in: Very quick. My only issue here was this— I informed the front office I create content with a large following on Instagram and wanted them to check if using a DSLR Camera was ok in areas of the hotel where guests wouldn’t be bothered (NOT a commercial shoot — just for my insta account) — it’s weird they were ok with using a phone anywhere but a dslr needed “permission”. It’s a weird archaic rule really. Especially when it’s a solo content creator, no professional paid content, no team or extra equipment and the dslr is actually as big as the phone! I asked the front office to check with the concerned management for permission. The never got back about it. “No” was acceptable. But not reverting — It was, well — weird! I mean you expect good reviews and social traction and this is how you pass a free opportunity! Check out: quick and easy. Luggage was collected from the room really quick. Vishnu (I hope I remember the name correctly) carried the luggage and was exceptionally polite and sweet. Very luxury hotel like feel from this one person for sure! Staff: polite Common areas: modern interiors. High ceiling give a sense of space Rooms: VERY GOOD sized rooms. Adequate space. Good decor. Large window size. AC cooling efficient. Well lit. Best part is the width of the area in front of the closet — it’s wider than most hotels giving it a “bigger” feeling. Washroom: VERY GOOD. Good shower pressures. All Amenities present. Good quality of toiletries. Ironing board was already available in the room. The mini bar was stocked with things to munch available in the room. Food: food spread is decent. Not too extensive. But good enough for a business stay. NO EGGLESS options available in bakery items. That could be improved upon since every hotel has at least one or two options for people not consuming eggs. They don’t have a liquor license yet. The bar is very pretty but it’s only for private events and not open for sitting there to guests (I checked) Swimming pool: it’s really small. More like a plunge pool. Wasn’t bad. Had a good quick swim after a long flight: but the hotel could look into keeping it cleaner especially with mosquito breeding risk. Pool side tables with food served doesn’t allow privacy to swimmers since the whole area can’t be cordoned off since it a small patio. Steam room: well made. Available. Wasn’t any rush when I went. They also have a reasonably priced spa. Did not use it however. In room dining: available 24 hours. Cabs easily available on Uber. Summary: it’s a good hotel to stay at for a business trip. The rooms are comfortable, the interiors are pretty and well maintained. Staff is overall
