The breakfast hostess Shelly was such an awesome person. And it was nice of the GM to let me pay with cash as I left my card at home. But I was reminded so many times about me paying with my card and not cash that I wasn’t happy due to the fact that it was my birthday .and it made me feel very uncomfortable . From the time I walked in and had to wait 30mins with my children to wait for an answer if I couldn’t or could’ve paid cash to stay or be disappointed. I was also reminded about my card after breakfast and checked out. My tip to front desk is not to make guests feel sad or uncomfortable when someone’s birthday is the same day they checking in. You always want to make it pleasant and help the guest’s the best they can and leave a welcoming impression so they can come back again ;)
