We visted 20th - 23rd May and loved it. The hotel was clean and comfortable. No staff were on site but a phone number was available if we needed help. We met Susan, who looked after the the hotel the morning after we arrived. She was chatty and helpful and obviously took pride looking after the rooms and public areas which were spotless. The kitchen was small but adequate for our needs and a large fridge and freezer was available to store perishable foods. Forsinard Station is in close proximity to the hotel and this houses the RSPBcentre for Forsinard Flows. Looking through the available literature at the hotel we found a leaflet advertising guided walks with, A Far North Naturalist, Graham Thompson. There was ourselves plus six other people. Graham led us on a most informative walk across the Forsinard Flows to the Lookout. Graham is a walking encycopedia of knowledge of the area. Not only did he know about the birds but also flowering plants, lichens, aquatic life and the geology. We enjoyed the walk so much that with one exception we all joined Graham for a coastal walk the following day to Red Point on the north coast to see puffins, guillemots, white tailed sea eagles and skuas. The fllowing morning we took an early morning drive along the main road to Kincraig and saw hen harriers and cuckoos. Forsinard Suites is the perfect place to stay for a visit to the area. It's off the beaten track of the North Coast 500 but serene and beautiful. We will return. M and C
