Cabañas Te Maori

I had an absolutely delightful stay at the cabanas on Easter Island! The host, Patricia, exuded warmth and hospitality and went above and beyond to ensure my experience was nothing short of exceptional. She picked me up and dropped me off at the airport, as well as providing excellent recommendations for dining places and activities. The accommodation itself was superb. The beds were comfortable and the small kitchenette was great for making a cuppa to kick-start my day on the island. The location is fantastic too, as it's right in the centre of the main street, just a 5 minute walk to where all the food are and the ocean. Definitely would stay again!

The Cabanas Te Maori is a great place to stay. It is located just off Hanga Roa's main street so it is convenient to restaurants and stores. Each "Cabana" consists of 2 floors. Downstairs is a sitting area, well equipped kitchen, a counter to eat on and bathroom. Upstairs is a large, air conditioned bedroom with a balcony. The entire unit was clean and comfortable. Best of all, the owner was very friendly and checked several times to make sure that we had everything we needed. She even gave us a tour of the town on the way home the airport to ensure that we knew where things were.

This cabin was in the best location- it is right at the end of the Main Street with all the shops and places to eat and it is just a few blocks away from the waterline where there is a beach, harbor, park, and more restaurants. We easily walked around. This cabin was quiet and private and we enjoyed having a kitchen area. If you are tall, there are a few places where you have to watch your head due to the angles of the ceiling near the stairs upstairs, but otherwise, the space was very comfortable for 2 people. There are only a handful of cabins here and they are similar to small townhomes; 2 stories with balconies and porches. Patricia, our host, went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time on the island... she found and connected us to a guide when all the guides were booked the weekend we were there... it was very difficult and she really rescued the day!! She also has a vehicle to rent and we were so grateful to have it to drive to the national parks. Patricia met us at the airport and presented us with beautiful flower leis and gave us the lay of the island and really ensured we had everything we needed. The cabin is just right for a stay on the island and I hope we get to visit again.

We totally enjoyed our stay here! We felt so welcomed & like family! We were so appreciative of the short ride from the airport & the lei Patricia gave us when greeting us at the airport! She was so helpful arranging our island tour reservations, which were fabulous! The cabana was clean & the location to everything such an easy walk! Loved watching the sea turtles swimming in the bay! I would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed in Cabanas Te Maori for 6 nights. It was excellent from the beginning. Patricia, the owner, warmly welcomed us with flower necklaces at the airport. On the way driving to cabana, she showed us all important places in town. To our relief, her English was really good!! Location of the cabana was perfect. We didn’t rent the car so it was very convenient to be in short walking distance from shops, restaurants and the beach. Patricia was amazing, making sure that we had everything we needed. She arranged tours and taxi to the beach that was too far to walk. The cabana has a balcony overlooking banana and avocado trees so it was nice to enjoy coffee in the morning. If we go back to Easter Island, we would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I stayed here for vacation and had the best time! Patricia left us fresh plantains and Tito was fantastic! The place was clean, organized, and well stocked with dishes and toiletries. The hostess and staff were very accommodating.

Patricia the host was incredibly friendly, and met me at the airport and showed me round the island on the way back. The two-storey cabin is nice; the downstairs is small, but has a living and kitchen area with all you need to make simple meals (although a can-opener would be nice!), plus bathroom. The upstairs bedroom is bright with decent airconditioning (handy as the cabins get hot, and you can’t keep the windows open during the night because of insects) and it was very good to have a private balcony. The reason it didn’t get a five was the wifi, which stopped working completely after a day or so. The cabins are just at the end of the main street, so easy access (5-minute walk?) to the rest of Hanga Roa and the coast. So a good choice.

Very nice location, great value for the price. Clear communication with the property owner and attentive service.
