Great place to stay if you want to totally disconnect and relax and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It's down a rocky, dirty road an extra few kilometers from most other homestays in the area so it's a bit more isolated, but that's exactly what we wanted. Gorgeous views from the bungalow front porches (ask for one facing the rocks, there are two in the back that aren't as well situated), comfy beds, bathroom/shower with views, wifi. On site restaurant had good food and drinks. Staff super helpful and friendly. Bicycles and motor bikes available for trekking around the area. Pond on site for fishing. Tours can be booked through the homestay and you can get picked/up dropped off there. Drivers to and from Hanoi can be booked from there as well. I don't know that I'd stay more than a night or two as it's rustic, but for that long it's perfect if you don't mind being in a less busier spot without more eating/drinking options within walking distance (we bicycled to other places and that was fine with us).

We absolutely adored this homestay and would have happily stayed here for more then our 2 nights we booked. The location was gorgeous and we had probably one of the most beautiful sunrises of my life. The rooms were cute & quaint - we were even able to get in-room massages! The family was so kind, very attentive and made amazing food! They went out of our way to ensure our stay was incredible. Highly recommend. For my solo, female friends - I was there with my partner, but I would 100% feel safe here alone!

Incredible location, we were mesmerised with the surrounds, and how beautiful the property was designed. Immersed in a fantastic setting and the property blends in perfectly, with all the comforts. It feels completely isolated, yet easy to get to nearby attractions in Ninh Binh via motorbike or bicycles available for rent on site. Just the local taxi drivers seemed to have trouble with directions. Access road is quite rough and narrow in some spots, but no problems for any type of vehicle or walking. Owners were the most cheerful, kind and wonderful people.

The perfect place to stay to appreciate the tranquillity of the idyllic landscape around Ninh Binh. The setting is wonderful and the main attractions (Trang An / Mua Cave) are a short bike ride away - you can use complimentary bicycles or mopeds at the homestay. Staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. We were allocated rooms 1 and 2 which overlooked the lotus pond and fields beyond. They were large and really comfortable with a balcony to relax on in the evening sun. We even had a family of monkeys hanging around the trees at the back of the lodges. You have the option of eating delicious home-made food from a wide menu and the value is just amazing - 2 rooms for 2 nights, 3 evening meals and 1 lunch for 4 of us, all for less than £200 equivalent. Truly the highlight of our Vietnamese adventure. I can't recommend Lotus Field homestay highly enough.

The rooms are located in the most breathtaking spot of Ninh Binh. I had to pinch myself every morning and found myself just immersing myself every morning in the a**osphere. A truly magical location. In addition, what also made a huge difference to our break was the staff. The young man who checks you in and looks after your stay is second to none. Every interaction with him was a genuine pleasure. Very happy customer!

Beautiful scenery with stunning land scapes. What sets this Homestay apart if the staff, can’t thank you enough for all you help and care you gave us, always taking the time to do what they can. A Homestay that I’ve already recommended to a lot of people.

Had a wonderful time at this homestay. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is spectacular. Renting scooters from the homestay and driving into town was a trip highlight. The location is a little bit far from town, but that is also part of the charm of this place. It's not hard to get into town via scooter, bike, or taxi (though you may have to wait a little while for a taxi to arrive after being called). Breakfast and dinner options were plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend staying here for a unique experience close to nature.

I so wanted to fall in love with this homestay. I booked it for one night and of all the places we stayed during our two weeks in Vietnam, this was the one I was looking forward to most. And I would encourage anyone to stay here because it is a great place but we just had so many issues with our stay that I can't say our experience was great. First issue was finding it. We arrived in Ninh Binh on an extremely hot day (45c/113F). We had just spent three hours on a boat touring the Trang An area where we got a taxi to take us to the homestay. The first guy could not locate the homestay on his map app so he said no. The second guy also could not find it on his maps and said no. The third taxi driver thought he could just find it so he agreed to take us. He drove for about 15 minutes and then stopped at a narrow little street and said he could not take us any further because his car could not fit down the road that led to the homestay. He said it was less then a mile and we had to just walk there. So we started down this narrow alley that soon turned into a dirt road with no shade. We were using google maps on our phones to find it and it kept telling us to use roads that did not exist. It would say to turn left and it looked like they had started a road through the lotus fields but it was not completed so the only option was to wade through water which we were not willing to do. We kept walking but in 113 degree heat with no shade after 40 minutes of walking I ended up passing out in a ditch with heat exhaustion still with no idea where we were or how to find the homestay. After sitting many many minutes I tried calling the homestay for help. No one answered. I called several more times and after maybe the 6th time someone picked up but he spoke no English and hung up. After sending an email via the booking app I was able to communicate our situation and they said they would send someone to pick us up. It was the same guy who spoke no English that came on a scooter and was able to take us back one at a time. I felt bad because once he got me back to the homestay (which we would never have found on our own) I passed out again from the heat getting off the scooter and he just had no idea what to do with this crazy foreigner on the ground next to his scooter. There was no one there that spoke any English and it was just a mess. I think we must have been there during their down time because there was no one around the entire place. We just wanted to check into our room and lay down but he did not seem to want us to go to our room which was very strange (it seriously felt like they had forgotten we were coming). After about 40 minutes of sitting in a deserted seating area a car dropped off another girl that spoke a little English and then they took us to our bungalow. There was no "check in" procedure- they never checked our passports, gave us information about the homestay (scooter rental, meal options,), and we were never give
