Gilcar Farm Holiday Cottages

We have just stayed at the Blacksmiths Shop, one of the cottages at Gilcar and had a fabulous stay. We travelled with my mother in law who has limited mobility and uses a wheelchair outside and a zimmer frame indoors. The cottage was perfect for her, all the doors are wide enough to push a wheelchair through, the open plan set up was great for her to get about, and the downstairs bedroom and wet room met all her needs. And we were able to park right outside the cottage. For the rest of the party, we loved everything about this place. You really are in a luxury property, everything is provided for you, great wi-fi, and we wouldn't hesitate to visit again, ( we really hope we do :) ) The views from all rooms are amazing, you really are in the middle of the country, we loved to watch the cows wandering around in the field opposite out of the lounge window. But you do have all amenities within 5 mins, we used Tesco Express quite a few times! The location is great, we visited Cannon Hall Farm twice which was only only 10 minutes away, and also the National Coal Mining Exhibition, again only 10 mins away Thank you, we will be back
