Tangahús Guesthouse

An eventful night where we caught our 1st Icelandic Northern Lights at 3am for an hour just outside the room. Building was just at the edge of the waterfront. We had the room on the left of the building with 3 bedrooms. Somehow the middle room was always cold and we never occupied it. The 2 rooms were cozy and spacious for 4 adults with a fully functioning kitchen and heated flooring. Love the homely atmosphere and comes with coloring books to entertain kids. Good WiFi and quiet, even with some noisy occupants in the other rooms. Seems well insulated from the elements and sound. Being next to the waterfront and dark outside, except some street lamps we managed to see the aurora in the distance and shooting stars overhead. Food is some distance off at the nearest N1 station if you are not cooking in. They have a great menu spread. And yes just a short stroll away is a small shop selling interesting 2nd hand items.

Casa al borde del fiordo, nuestra habitación, la cocina y la sala comedor tiene vistas Justo encima del fiordo. La cocina muy bien equipada y limpia. Las habitaciones con literas, amplias, colchones cómodos y muy confortables para los cuatro que éramos. Ideal el rincón de lectura con la ventana frente al fiordo. Dos duchas grandes en dos baños súper equipados u muy cómodos. En cada planta hay un servicio para cada dos habitaciones. La mejor calidad - precio que hemos encontrado. Súper recomendable.
