Spring Resort Lodge

Spring Lodge is located 1 km from the crossing of the Binga-road and the road to Harare/Mana Pools and 4 km away from a city Karoi. It is a perfect stop-over if you drive from Mana Pools National Park to Hwange, Matusadona or Chizarira National Parks. If you take a Binga-road along the Kariba lake the route from Spring Lodge to Hwange can be done in one day. There is a fuel-station just beside the lodge. In a small Karoi-city you can stock your suppliers. There are at least two supermarkets and a lot of other shops where you can buy everything you need. The lodge has its own restaurant. The classical breakfast of fried eggs with bacon was tasty and sufficient. Rooms are very big and clean. Everything worked fine. There was a free WiFi. The hosts were very friendly especially Hazel. The only problem was that there was no power for a few hours starting at night until 8:00 in the morning. That power shortage was not in the lodge but in the whole district. Advantages: Excellent location on the roads crossing to Hwange and Mana Pools, close to Karoi, beside the fuel-station. Nice rooms and very friendly personal. Disadvantages: the power can be cut at night in the whole district but this is not a problem of the lodge. You just need to have it in mind and charge your stuff upon arrival.
