Locale: Primely placed on the bypass road, quietly nestled in valleys prime with vegetation Property: wonderfully maintained decadent mural laced interiors, with a nice big pool facing the valley ( prime view ) heated to keep to the local temp Rooms: wow factor here, the view from the balcony is amazing, designed keeping in mind peace of mind for the occupants. Has almost everything. Fine details covered with extra sockets and centrally controlled console for lights and gadget ***agement Food: 2 restaurants serving Indian & continental cuisines. Breakfast buffet has wide selection of food. Desi Aromas caters to Indian food with good portion sizes, non greasy and mildly spiced. Good in room selection as well. The room was not clean as there was lots of spiders web and fluff, the House Keeping(HK)does not clean the bathroom floor nor the shower nor the sink not even the room floor also neither the reception staff nor did the HK help me find a lost item during the check out as I stayed for 3 nights and lost it on the 2nd as they tossed me around till I had to leave to catch my flight.

The rooms are okay, clean and have a perfect view. The rooftop pool is very nice with an amazing view. Breakfast is okay, but nothing special. The same applies to the two restaurant, even if they are the best rated restaurants in Munnar. Overall, there is nothing to complain about this hotel and that is why I rate it with 4*, but we do not liked the atmosphere that much. However, the Munnar area is so beautiful and special and the Panoramic Gateway seems to be one of the best hotels around, thus it is worth to stay there nonetheless.

Our tour booked us (family of four) a two room suite in the PG as a part of a Kerala tour package and it was, overall, a fantastic home base from which to explore the sites around Munnar. Among the highlights of this resort were: - excellent breakfast. Desi Aromas (one of the onsite restaurants) provides a spectacular breakfast buffet with delicious Indian and western selections. It set the stage for your day of exploration. - spacious rooms. Our suite was quite spectacular. It had all the amenities (including great washroom facilities) and enough space to spread out your luggage and move around. - terrific views for dinner. The casual eatery onsite (the Underground) has, despite its name, stunning views for an outdoor meal. The menu had some great mocktails and featured so ***y dishes that I thought I was looking at a Cheesecake Factory menu. They accept foreign credit cards. We did not check out the spa or the pools.

This hotel has a very low key entrance but the other side of the building gives you amazing views over the countryside. We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the food. The catered for western taste buds which was welcomed as a wee change. They have an adult only pool area as well as a family pool and the views and layout of each area was good, although there weren’t ***y sun beds at the adult pool. One thing we learnt by staying at this hotel was the licensing laws that are in place in Kerala are very different from other parts of India we have visited this trip. Basically it is very hard to buy a drink even in the best hotels because of these laws. Hotels , restaurants etc are simply not allowed to sell alcohol. You can buy it from very seedy Government Off Licences and you can drink it you room. We did find a hotel with a bar about a Kilometre away but we were not that desperate for a drink so we didn’t return. We missed the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner here.

A very nice and comfortable hotel located outside of Munnar in a quiet and very pretty neighborhood. The reception was swift and efficient. We received a room on the second floor with a balcony and a beautiful view of the valley and facing mountainside. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with all the necessary amenities. There is a pool on the 4th floor for adults only which faces the valley. The water in the pool is warm and clean. Breakfast was acceptable, even by European/American standards. We had dinner on 3 consecutive evenings in the charcoal restaurant. As we do not tolerate spicy food, the chef prepared for us a delicious lasagna and spaghetti bolognese from which nearly all trace of spice was removed. We stayed in the hotel altogether 3 nights. Its location allowed us to tour with our driver and car the entire area. Overall, very good experience in an excellent hotel. We do not know if it is the best hotel in the area, but for our purposes (and we have high de***ds), it met all our expectations and needs.

Excellent service.. No complaints whatsoever.. Food was excellent..Heated pools were good.. Hotel is a bit far from Munnar proper, but this is actually a blessing in disguise as we are placed far enough from the noise and chaos of Munnar town.. Looking forward to staying here again.

This hotel is a gem in every sense. Our room was comfortable, clean and we woke to the most wonderful view every morning. Room service was prompt on any request. There was so much choice for Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian for both breakfast and evening meals, served by attentive staff. Abong our regular waiter in the evening was both charming and delightful. All in all we both had a wonderful stay at The Panoramic Getaway and would recommend to our family and friends.

Booked 3 rooms for 7 people's Booked this property only for the heated pools Majority of the reviews I saw were very positive Because of the high rating I expected so much from this property. The initial impression itself was disturbing Reason I booked the property through an agent. The agent asked for 3 ID proofs for 3 rooms and I submitted 3 ID proofs and paid the whole amount the 2 days before the check-in. At the time of check-in after a long journey they asked the ID proof for every adult with us . I questioned it very politely ( because I expected easy check-in and already submitted the ID's they asked ) and the guy at the reception replied not so politely that here it is like this only. Which means give or getout. But I haven't escalated it because I don't want to ruin the holidays and family time. I gave all the ID's they asked. What is liked *Room was clean *Fridge was there *Toiletries was there *The sevice was good *The guy in charge of the pool was so nice and behaved so friendly with all guests. His name is Hareesh *The pool was heated as they said and it was the only thing we liked in this hotel What I don't like *The property was very small and only had little space outside the building. *The view was only okay even from the third floor *Room was not spacious *The main disappointment was the food menu they provide.. every thing was so costly considering the hotel facilities *The next disappointment was the buffet breakfast I read so ***y good reviews about there food but the items in the buffet was not at all tasty. But the spread was big but no point in providing food without taste. May be it was my badluck *I paid 26700rs for 3 bedrooms and an extrabed Considering what I paid, it is not at all value for money. The only thing we all loved was the heated pools. They charged 3000 rs for an extra bed which is humongous for this hotel. You will get so ***y better hotels way cheaper than this in munnar but you will not get a heated pool... Think wisely and book only if you have a lot of money to spend on food.
