The average temperature here on the Central Coast during late Spring through Summer & early Fall is 60 to 70 degrees. We have very few flying insects. A Mosquito on the deck is very rare if ever. Don't forget the ever-changing sky! Besides crashing on the rocks, the waves often come from three different directions & explode together, towering as much as 50+ feet. We have our own Water Geyser, out on the large Rock Formation, looking Just like the famous "Spouting Horn", located at the Sea Wall in the central business area of Depoe Bay. During high water, there can be up to 5 waterfalls flowing from that rock formation. Of course, the Ocean puts on a VERY SPECIAL SHOW during the Winter months. Especially during the storms! There are miles of picture-postcard sandy beaches in both directions, within 2 miles both north & south of Depoe Bay. The Local Charter Boats come into our view to Watch the Whales You should plan your visits to the beach before noon because the northern Trade Winds average about 10+ MPH in the afternoon during the summer months. We are allowing a 1 Month's notice for a full refund or a 2 weeks notice for a 50% refund. We have added an Ozone Air Purifier. We are taking additional, special care in our cleaning & disinfecting of all the often-touched surfaces such as counters, chairs, door handles, keypads, bathroom & kitchen surfaces, etc. We wash all our laundry with Hot water using "Tide" with bleach. Our Charming 2 bedroom home features 2 quiet bedrooms with queen beds, a clean updated kitchen, and separate comfortable living space. Just off the 101 in a serene setting, just a 5 minute walk on a quiet street from the whale watching lookout, Depoe Bay Harbor and the shops of downtown. Easy access for those early morning Whale watching or fishing tours! A wonderful central location from which to visit the beaches up and down the coast towards Newport and Lincoln City. Distant Ocean Views!It a cute little 2 bedroom house with a private hot tub, picnic table, hammock, shares parking lot and laundry space with the adjacent house. We are 2 rows of houses from the Ocean, there are distant Ocean Views, the smell of sea salt in the air, and gulls squawking overhead. You can access several secret lookout/ overlook spots in our neighborhood, or there is a very short walk to the Whale observatory on the main street, with all the restaurants and shops, as well as the access to the harbor for Whale tours and fishing.Inside the house we have two cozy queen beds in separate bedrooms with room darkening shades and a TV in each with wifi so you can log in to your streaming services. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa that could sleep 2 kids, and a pack n play. Not really suitable for 6 adults, but if you want to squeeze in we generally are willing to allow it. The living room is cozy with a small electric fireplace for when the fog rolls in and you want to hunker down with a good book. we also have a games closet with lots of family friendly fun options. The kitchen is stocked with basic spices, instant pot, toaster, blender, microwave, stove, fridge...all the essentials.
