Kelley’s Cove has been a great family home for many years with lots of wonderful memories. It is conveniently located between the ferry and town. It has a great view, lots of wildlife, grass yard, and water access. Kelley’s Cove is located towards the start of Fairbank Point, where the water starts on the southeast side (sunrises). Beautiful morning sunrises are across the water and to the left some. Kelley’s Cove is a dug-in bay which provides well protected water access and dockage. This is a great area for boating, canoeing, kayaking, and decent fishing. It is about 2.7 miles from the ferry dock and about 5.5 miles from town. The Kelley homestead was originally built in 1951 and has had many additions and renovations. Being built in the 50’s, it was common for bedrooms to be smaller and without closets. There are 3 bedrooms with queen beds and an open wardrobe for clothes. There is one bathroom and a half bath setup in the laundry room. The living room has a great water view and door access to the front deck. The kitchen has an electric stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, dishes, and pantry items (everything). There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Towels and linens are provided. Internet WiFi is provided and is good enough for streaming Youtube or Netflix. Outside is a front deck with grill, table, and chairs. Out front is a dock providing a boat slip for you, while the other is for the caretaker’s boat. Often there is a swim raft in the bay. In the front yard, is a fire pit with log style seating and enough firewood provided for a campfire. There is a lot of wildlife in this area. Often two families of ducks are being raised in the cove, with plenty of deer, sandhill cranes, and other wildlife in the lake or passing thru. The bay itself is about 6 ft deep and the bottom is not rocky or sandy, but muck(a squishy soft bottom). On the front right side of the yard, is a rarely used right of access to the water for some family members. On the satellite view, you will see outside the kitchen window is a private drive, which gets occasional use by people not knowing it is a private drive. Great family home with two bedrooms down, loft up stairs with 2 full sized beds. There is a spiral staircase that takes you to the loft area and this may be difficult for the elderly or for children. This place has lots of 80's charm all around! Amazing views to see the sunrise, 150 feet of shoreline Lake Access. This property offers a perfect place to enjoy the Drummond Island experience, fire pit, great lake access for kayaks and quiet Area to relax. Everything is provided, all you need to do is head up north! We do have firewood on site, but limited amount. Cabin does have a fireplace, owner requests it not to be used. Kayaks are not included in rental. We do allow pets with an addtional fee added. This beautiful home sits in front of the Potagannissing Bay on Lake Huron to watch freighters go by. The bay's waters are rich in freshwater fish. The home is close to ATV trails and hiking trails. You can ride SxS directly from the house.Two golf courses nearby. The best sunsets you will ever see. There is a large dock on the property for boaters. The home has 3 bedrooms,1 king bed, 1 queen, and 2 twin beds and 2 full bathrooms. Features a laundry room with washer and dryer. There are 2 kayaks for your use. The waterfront is rocky so bring your water shoes. The dock does have a ladder off the end and is sandy on the left side of dock. Approximately 3 feet deep at dock however, the water levels change. Firepit in the front yard with chairs and swing. There is also a rustic cabin on the property to sleep another 8 people comfortable. The cabin will be rented automatically after you book with more than 6 people.
