This sprawling five bedroom, 2-1/2 bathroom, colonial home built in 1887 is the perfect place for you and your family or group of friends. Enter this vintage home from either of the two front porches, both are ideal for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine, and you will be amazed at what you see. The first floor includes a large king bedroom with smart tv and cedar closet. Next is our full bathroom with tub/shower. Our dining room has seating for 6 and next to it is our cozy living room that has comfortable seating, a smart tv with cable and a view to our courtyard and pool. Next there is a large gourmet kitchen that includes an island with seating for 6 and a breakfast nook that can accommodate 7. This luxury, state-of-the art, spacious kitchen is truly a show piece and a great place to gather. A truly gourmet kitchen with top notch appliances lots of cabinets and counter space. Virtually everything you need has been thought of. Also, a fantastic server/bar cart and a Samsung, The Frame 55" tv with cable. Just off the kitchen is a large laundry room and powder room. On the second floor you will find 4 bedrooms and bathroom. The first bedroom is beyond large and includes 3 twin beds, one king bed, a full sleeper sofa and smart tv, popular place for kids to hang out in. Second bedroom has a king bed and includes a desk and large closet, third bedroom is a queen and the last bedroom has two twin beds. The bathroom includes a tiled, walk-in shower which is next to a large linen closet filled with towels.Our courtyard is truly a centerpiece for all you need. Dive into our 15x32 saltwater heated pool with tanning shelf, enjoy our 8-10 person jacuzzi. You also might want to relax by the fire-pit in one of our 8 Adirondack chairs with a glass of a local wine or micro-brew. There is also plenty of space for outdoor games both inside the yard as well in our oversized side lot. This open concept house plan allows for plenty of room for the kids to be entertained while you sit back, relax and enjoy Pure Michigan. This location is ideal in so many ways- we are just a couple blocks to Brewster's Italian or waterside fine dining at Bentwood Tavern or The Terrace Room. From our home you'll enjoy the very short walk to downtown New Buffalo and the beach. The open floor plan includes a dining area that comfortably seats 8 and opens to a large living area with plenty of seating for gathering around the fireplace or watching a movie together. Board games and books are tucked in the nearby cabinet for rainy days.The kitchen is fully stocked with all dishes, glassware, utensils and cookware, including a large toaster oven, drip-style coffee pot, microwave and electric cooktop with oven. The gas grill is just outside on the patio. Please be sure to only use plastic dishware outside by the pool!Primary bedroom is closest to the living room and offers a queen bed, lots of closet space and a sliding door with private entrance to the back patio. Bedrooms 2-4 are off the hallway to the left of the dining area. Bedroom 2 has one double bed and one twin bed. Bedroom 3 has a twin-over-twin bunk bed, and a twin-over full bunkbed, plus a second TV. Bedroom 4 has a view of the back yard and has a double bed.The primary bathroom has a large tile shower. Hall bathroom has a tub/shower. We provide all bed and bath linens, as well as towels for use by the pool. We also provide laundry soap, dishwasher pods, dish soap and hand soap at every sink. You'll find a roll of paper towel and at least one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Please plan to bring additional paper goods as needed for your group, as well as your own body/bath soaps and shampoo/conditioner items. Coffee filters are available, but please bring your favorite coffee to enjoy!Washer and dryer can be found in the alcove off the living room, where there is also a second fridge/freezer for your drinks and treats, and easy access from the pool area.Guests use pool and hot tub at their own risk. Children should never swim unsupervised. No diving. No running by the pool. Please pick up after your pets!IMPORTANT NOTES: Our pool is heated, but because of the style of heater it cannot keep the water temperature up when the ambient air is 65 degrees or below. We set the heater at 87, but depending on the time of year the pool may be cooler than you are expecting. We can't control this and turning up the heater does not change anything. Please be patient as we have unpredictable weather in Michigan, especially in the spring months/early June.Our STR permit from the City of New Buffalo limits parking to 3 cars in the driveway. There is limited free parking in New Buffalo, so it is helpful to plan ahead to minimize the number of cars you may need to park offsite.
