The house is located a few steps from the shore of Lake Beetz, in a settlement belonging to the 800 year old village of Päwesin. Päwesin is a place with about 600 inhabitants in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, right on the border with Havelland, surrounded by lakes, fields and forest. But it is also close to Brandenburg an der Havel, Potsdam and Berlin. The surrounding area therefore invites both to a quiet stay in the seclusion of the sparsely populated lake landscape and to trips to the cultural institutions of the nearby cities. A varied beach holiday can also be spent very well at the Beetzsee. The house was built in 2010 on the site of a historic house that is no longer available. The bakery of the Buddhist monastery “Backwahn”, which has been located there since 2003, with the small café, right next to the church, has become a major attraction of the village.
