Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa

Spent four nights here made very welcome from the moment we arrived.Room was large and very well equipped.We ate in the hotel every night and the food was excellent as was the service one point we love and had 2 dogs of our own but don’t think they should in the dining room.Bar staff and reception very friendly..Lovely setting over looking Loch Fyne !

Fantastic base for Argyll trip. Staff were absolutely incredible. Bent over backwards to make our stay fabulous and always with a smile. Really great to have access to the pool, steam and salt rooms as part of our stay.

We had the same experience as a previous reviewer with the dinner, bed & breakfast package. We had booked this for our anniversary and were quite embarrassed when we were advised whilst ordering our meal that we were allowed £30 each, thereafter had to pay for anything above that. Again, like the previous reviewer I guess we both misinterpreted what was advertised and also the confirmation didn’t really clarify. However, our meal was delicious and all staff were excellent. After a conversation with the manager, we moved to the bed & breakfast package the following night and ate locally, where there was plenty of choice of lovely restaurants. This kind of marred what, otherwise, was a wonderful stay. Our room was perfect, we had a lovely afternoon using all the spa facilities, we both had treatments the next day which were amazing. In my opinion the bed and breakfast package is the better option as it leaves you open to choice for evening meals.

On a positive note the staff are very good, the spa treatments are excellent, dinner in the restaurant was very good albeit expensive, location good, lounge area good but view blocked by cars. Three issues - overpriced for the rooms, I have stayed in similar level for less. The dinner package is pointless - I had misinterpreted what I was getting (my fault I guess but the confirmation did not clarify) so I asked to use all my "allowance" for one meal. Told Ok then when came to check out was told I could not use it all because it did not cover drinks. What? I cannot actually use my own money because you have a rule! My view is the dinner package is a gimmick to get people to use the restaurant. Cold breakfast Ok but hot breakfast poor - not cooked to order despite staff saying it was, food was warm. Wouldn't go back.

Definitely not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. I imagine that cleanliness and comfort are some of the attributes that warrant the 4 stars? Staff at the desk were polite and helpful however I have never been asked when I want to have breakfast only to be told what time I can have it. Room was small with paper thin walls it would seem as we could hear everything from next door. Couple that with a noisy downpipe that has came unattached just outside our window was tantamount to Chinese water torture at night whilst trying to sleep. The bathroom shower fitting wasn’t clean and the flexible hose was broken and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for weeks, myself or my partner didn’t want to touch it. I have attached photos. On the plus side the dining experience at night was very nice with friendly staff and excellent food. Breakfast was the same apart from not being able to have no a choice of bread for toast. All in all we were disappointed as we were expecting the 4 star experience when in fact I would have said 3 star at best.

Relaxing overnight stay on Loch Fyne. Comfortable room with the best stocked tea tray I've seen in a long time! Loved being able to make fresh coffee in the morning! TV wasn't working but not a problem as we didn't really need one! Spa facilities were very good but could have done with an afternoon clean around. We had a pre dinner cocktail in the bar which was excellent! Breakfast was delicious. All staff were friendly and professional

We were looking forward to our return to the Loch Fyne Hotel, this time with friends and being able to use the spa and pool facilities. Our anticipation was worth it as we had a fantastic two night stay in this impressive hotel and wished we were there for longer! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Spa treatments were thoroughly enjoyed and the pool facilities with the salt room, steam room, internal and external hot tubs and the outdoor sauna were very well utilised. Sitting in the outdoor hot tub in early April in Scotland staring at Loch Fyne was very cool. Only a glass of bubbly was missing! Our evening meal and breakfast were very good too. All credit to the tremendous staff and even with the ‘Big Boss’ Niall on annual leave, the staff made our stay really welcoming and were very helpful. Claire in reception, Scott in the pool area, Big Jim the night porter and all the Brazilian staff (sorry, can’t remember all their names) in the bar and restaurant were very professional. If I was running a hotel I’d definitely want them in my team. We can highly recommend the Loch Fyne Hotel, our stay was simply stunning and very relaxing and that’s thanks to the incredible staff. We will be back!

We had a gorgeous one night stay at this hotel, wished we were there for longer! The room was immaculate and beds were super comfy! The pool facilities were amazing and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. Breakfast was good too! The staff were really welcoming especially the man on reception when we arrived, he immediately made us feel very welcome! He also went out of his way to offer us slippers for the pool when we came down in our robes and outdoor shoes! Whole stay was simply stunning! Can’t wait to come back!

High quality and exceptionally helpful staff but a limited dinner menu. I would certainly recommend the Loch Fyne Hotel hotel to others. Weather was perfect. Rooms clean and tidy and cleanliness was exceptional.
