Hotel Hennies

Hotel and staff and food is great. one small improvement to the room would be a coffee& tea maker, esp as we tend to arrive on Sundays and the restaurant is not open. And for evening drink in the room. It is nice that the windows can open (I travel a lot to US, and hate air conditioning). The one real big issue is that the WIFI is horrendous, we were in Hennies for workshops and that means we need it to be reliable and reasonable fast, and it is neither. We tried all ways of setting it up, it worked at times but mostly it did not. This time it also did not work at all in the room, I needed to set up a hotspot. so that is a real showstopper for future visits.

A very cozy and friendly place. It is clean and quiet. Very near the A7 for travelers. Possible to have dinner til 21.30, next morning the breakfast was wonderful. Have booked same place for next week when we journey home.

hhotel located close to the highway but in a quiet area. nice service, comfortable room. varied breakfasts, tasty à la carte dishes for the evening meal (especially nice waiter service), pet-friendly hotel.

Located close to the highway but with nice surroundings and absolutely no noise it makes the perfect location for a quick pit stop. Beautiful historic buildings nicely reformed, with rooms that have everything you might wish for. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is superb. Went there the second time already – Very recomendable!

stayed for 1 night - got a room on the last floor , no air con. too many stairs to climb 40+ (some of them are spiral staircase) room was at the attic, so half of the room was blocked by the low celling. would not stay again ....

Staff lacking friendliness. Balcony to be shared with neighbour without notification or any kind of separation outside. Was locked out of my room once late in the evening after key card had not been re- activated after I previously made sure my extension had been recognised at reception twice ( sincerity received no confirmation email). Had to call an emergency number who opened the door. No apology st the reception the next morning, only after I asked for one. Hotel could have had a great review from me, was it not for this occasion, the handling of it and variety of staff attitude ( from very nice to arrogant). Breakfast was average with the same for my entire stay, tables often not set up properly. I stayed for 11 days and not sure I would stay here again. The children‘s playground, once done with love and great skill, is neglected. However, great buildings, animals around and a wonderful setting. Pity about some staff.

Perfekt for a stop on the way to Hamburg or anywhere north, close to the autobahn. I don’t know what else to write but as i need to use up to 200 letters i will just fill the space explaining that this is silly. The hotel is excellent, no more needs to be said :-)

Make sure you clean also under your beds, we found some garbage and a lot of dust under our beds. Also the furniture is was a bit worn out. Table legs were wobbling and wall lamps bearly attached to the wall.

Unfortunately I had a room on the top-floor at the front. There was no aircon or fan and when I opened the window I got all the street noise. So I hardly slept.. Breakfast was good though and location is great (near the offices). They could add a water kettle/boiler for some tea/coffee in the room.
