Pacifica Resort Ixtapa

My overall experience was great, couple issues that need to be addressed. In pacifica grand, cocos room #3003 spa heater not working, bath room toilet not working, need to secure netting to prevent bats from entering room (3 made it inside) room cleaning service could use a little improvement. Two of the transportation vans had no a/c. The all inclusive wrist band needs some clarification (I was hit with a surprise fee at the check out, very disappointed) overall my experience with all the staff was above expectations, very nice and caring people. I hope on my return these issues are taken care off so I can edit my review.

Lovely spot with friendly staff and beautiful beach. Restaurants are mediocre and opened sporadically, giving little options. The evening restaurant on the beach is to far for anyone with mobility issues to walk. Overall a lovely spot. The employees in the towel check out were especially friendly and helpful. Fernanda, one of the Concierges, is amazing. As is Alfonso. The restaurants need work. And there were not enough options of restaurants to chose from. There needs to be transportation out yo through b the beach BBQ for this whose mobility is impared. .

Despite some weird policies set in place in the last year or so, Pacifica still is our favorite vacation spot. We have been coming here for the last 30 years! The best things about Pacifica are the beautiful beach, the proximity to Ixtapa and the wonderful people who work at the resort. Without these people Pacifica would be nothing. Just to name a few, Alvis, Perfecto, Freddy, Thomas, Captain Javier, Captian Roberto, Bulmora, Benjaman, Erica and Irving. These are just a few of the employees who always go out of their way to smile and say Hola whether they have ever served us or not. We look forward to returning next March.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay. The accommodations were clean, quiet and comfortable. Loads of amenities with different options to enjoy, pools or the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed our option of being able to have all-inclusive as well as cooking our own meals (Even with the lack of cookware & utensils.) But at the end of the day it was the people working at Pacifica that make it a special place to stay. Everyone we encountered seemed Happy and always willing to go above the call of duty to make our stay enjoyable. No matter the what the language barrier no one got frustrated and we always found a way to get over the barrier to solve any questions or issues. We certainly are looking forward to our return to Ixtapa and Pacifica

Pacifica is a very special place for those who want to experience “old Mexico” in comfort and natural beauty. We have been going for years and they continue to improve the accommodations, restaurants, beachfront, landscaping, etc. Very personalized service. Cannot say enough about the service of all employees (too numerous to mention) and this aspect is what makes the trip so enjoyable. The people are warm, friendly and attentive… someone at the top of this organization understands the value of service and it shows everywhere. We are counting the weeks until we return! ¡Hasta proximo año!

Beautiful resort, phenomenal staff, good food. All-inclusive packages well worth the price. Cleanliness is superb! Everything that was reported as a problem in the room was addressed, immediately. A great vacation for doing nothing and reading a book, with no worries. Only downside. Very, very poor internet connection. I had to pay extra to get 1 mbps for 4 days. That's pitiful for 2024. The Wi-Fi coverage in my room was spotty. We could not watch any streaming channels. We had better internet coverage in more 3rd world countries than at this resort. Hopefully they address this, because I would love to come back!

We have stayed here several times as we bought "points". There are several configurations of rooms/buildings but starting in 2023, management will not confirm what unit you have until you check in. This has resulted in many unhappy visitors as evidenced by the discussions in the reception area. Pools, beach and palapas are very nice. Servers at the beach are excellent and very friendly. You can do a all-inclusive plan for an additional fee. It is limited hours though so don't expect to go to a bar after 8pm for a beverage. Restaurants/buffet at the resort operate on a rotation so only a few are open each day. Food is average at best. After the first year, we opted out of the all inclusive option and buy groceries for our unit or eat off sight in Ixtapa town which is a short walk away and has lots of great restaurants. Even though we enjoy some things at the resort, we have decided not to return again. This is due to the poor management in place there. Every time we stay, they have added new fees and/or restrictions that they do not inform you of until you arrive......this year it was a mandatory "extra tip" of 95 pesos/day for "background staff". This tip did not include housekeeping/servers or porters so we needed to tip them in addition. If you try to contact management, they rarely return calls and pretty much don't seem to care. Often, front desk staff will "pretend" they don't understand when you speak English......when we first started staying at this resort, this was never a problem. This year, we moved to the Barcelo resort a few meters down the beach from Pacifica. We were much more pleased with the communication, staff, restaurants and the building itself.

Happy Staff and nice amenities and great mtn views down into the Pacific Ocean. The buffet is basically good. Nice choices. The vans transporting guests around is a big help. Bedding good. The pools are a bit small but overall the complex is very nice.

Phenomenal family resort for the well deserved getaway! Kids activities, relaxing on the beach, scuba diving, fine dining at numerous resort restaurants - Do as much or as little as you want! We have been coming to this resort since 2003 and it’s consistently better every year!
