Iberostar Playa Gaviotas All Inclusive

Family interconnecting room has a door from the corridor leading to personal hallway leading to 2 identical double rooms. Each of these rooms has a balcony leading onto a garden area with sunbeds and a (cold) jacuzzi. We found the rooms very comfortable Safe in room costs 3 euro per day Hotel has a good buggy friendly layout Excellent quality and choice of food, buffet had consistently good variation and food clearly signed with good hygiene standards  Self serve beer and soft drinks on tap. Self serve bottles of wine and bottles of spirits in buffet and pool bar.  Self serve ice cream available most of the day.  The main bar upstairs is only place to get cocktails Easy buggy friendly access to sandy beach Well maintained pool area with baby pool, plenty of sunbeds  Reasonably well equipped gym ALL STAFF were extremely attentive, friendly and helpful.  Dining room staff promptly brought highchairs Animation team went above and beyond with superb round the clock entertainment (eg aqua aerobics for adults, volcano making for children and a daily lovely mini disco.  Only negatives were the bedrooms had some minor maintenance issues, which were dealt with quickly. And the standard of cleanliness of the bedrooms was below par (dirty floors, dusty cupboards and infestation of ants)  Overall I would recommend and we would return

My Brother and I arrived on the 3rd of April for a 2 week break. Hotel is amazing. All the staff from Check in, Resteraunt, Barr staff, Entertainment team, cleaning team and pool attendants are all extremely friendly and very helpful. The Rooms and all public areas are spotlessly clean. The Resteraunt staff are very friendly, helpful and extremely hard working, ensuring that all the food is replenished as quickly as it goes. I have Celiac Disease and it is a constant worry to make sure that there is no cross Contamination. But all the Chef's and catering team have been outstanding and were a great help and support during my stay so I was well looked after. The Entertainment team were again outstanding. They pulled out all the stops to ensure that everyone enjoyed themselves. Everyone of the staff are a credit to the Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing break. In my honest opinion it was a good choice to come here for a break. Well done to all the staff. Thank you for everything. Gracias

A lovely week’s break and our first visit to the island - lovely temperature at this time of year, with a cool breeze. Popular with a good mix of Europeans. Positives - very clean hotel and always felt safe, very efficient and helpful staff, lovely location and a very clean beach, excellent food quality and variety. Good WiFi signal which kept the children happy! Recommend get the Iberostar app before arriving as it helps explain a few bits, like beach towels being free but needing a 20 euro refundable deposit, and small charges for room safe/hire of tennis raquets. Only improvement I would suggest would be a map of the resort as it took me a couple of days to find everything and maybe a few more sunbeds. Would recommend for families and couples and would return

The hotel is Nice, we had no problems room was clean and maids came everyday. I think standards were set a little high as we have visited a previous Iberostar in Tenerife and this was a little different, some ways good and some not. Once breakfast is finished there is no snack bar open like the previous Iberostar we have been to. There is a small side with croissants and fruit but no snack bar as such for kids etc. There is an outside lunch time restaurant and the main indoor one both only open 1pm-3pm which is quite late for little ones when in the pool all morning. There is no cocktail bar around the pool you have to go up into the night time area for a cocktail. There is also ice creams only while the lunch time restaurant is open. you cannot get cones and ice creams whenever ( which takes away the all inclusive feel) However, the kids entertainment was a lot better lots of stuff on and the entertainment team were brilliant.

This is my first time at the Iberostar Playa Gaviotas and it won’t be my last. Stayed for a week in February and the whole experience virtually from the start to finish was superb. The main highlights of this hotel are the high levels of service, super food and quality drinks package in the all-inclusive and location (Right above the beach). My visit didn’t start great as my Sea View room probably had the worst view of all such rooms in the hotel as it overlooked a flat roof, but I could see the sea (see photo) so officially I couldn’t complain. You can actually choose individual rooms at extra cost, but I didn’t do this. I just got unlucky I suppose. The room itself was quite large with a very comfortable bed, two chairs a small table and a desk. The wardrobe was a double with more than enough room and a safe inside (Charged extra). The bathroom was a good size with a shower over the bath. I found the bath slippy to stand in so I rang reception and got a bath mat which was delivered within five minutes. The quality of the room cleaning was high with the cleaner regularly making sculptures out of the bed covers and leaving chocolates. On my birthday they delivered a nice present (Jar of Mojo sauce and bottle of Body Wash) plus bottle of bubbly, chocolates and a cake made out of towels. The food in this hotel is a real stand out. I would say the quality of food is probably the best I have had ever had in a 4 star hotel (and I’ve tried many). I’ve been to hotels with a wider choice of dishes, but ingredients were always quality, fresh and well cooked with items not normally found at this level (e.g on a night specialising in shell fish they did Crayfish cooked in their shells). There was also a lot of items cooked in front of you and on one occasion a member of staff was making a show of cutting Iberian ham off the bone. Breakfast was great, again the choice was not as wide as I have seen elsewhere but there was more than enough choice to make everyone happy. I particularly liked the omelettes cooked to order in front of you and Cava was always available. At lunch time I was happy to use the snack bar next to the pool rather than the main restaurant where there was a good choice of fare in a clean environment overlooking the pool. This was also great for snacks, drinks and ice-creams at other times. The drinks choice in bars and restaurants was great with mostly branded drinks. This was the biggest choice I have ever seen on all-inclusive package. You could self-serve house wines, Cava, Beer and soft drinks but if you didn’t want to do this the bar staff were more than happy to serve you instead (been to other AI’s were this wasn’t the case). There are three bars, a large quieter bar next to reception, with an outside area if preferred, a sports bar called the Bowling bar that had a 10 pin bowling alley, Pool tables, Darts and a good selection of TV’s to watch the football if required and also a concert room with shows most nights.

Me and my partner had 5 nights at this lovely hotel. Friendly staff, very clean hotel. We enjoyed the food . As a vegan , I was worried I wouldn't be able to eat much. But there was tonnes of vegan food every day, all was labelled so it was easy to see what I could have. They had vegan butter, milk, yoghurt (at breakfast) and lots of options for main food. Our room was lovely, we paid extra for the star prestige and spent most of our time at the star prestige pool, very peaceful and relaxing. Entertainment was really good. There are a few small points that would make this absolutely perfect.. vegan desserts would be amazing. The plastic cups by the pool smelt like they weren't fully cleaned some smelt like beer and made my drink taste weird. Would be nice to have a little music at the star prestige pool even if just some calming back ground music. These points are just me being picky everything was amazing and would definitely recommend people to stay at this hotel.

Arrived late at the hotel but to our surprise they had plated a buffet for us and opened the restaurant for us to eat which I thought was really nice.we booked a star prestige room but a little disappointed as the decor was a bit dated and the bathroom had marks on it.we asked to move which they said would be no problem but the other room was just the same so we stayed where we were but they did try.Food was of good standard abd the drinks were all branded which was nice for an all inclusive. In the star prestige bar carva was available as much as you wanted.Nice small affinity pool.The big disappointment was the main entertainment room was only open for 45 mins fir the show with nothing after, if they carried the night on with a disco more people would stay up enjoying the facilities. Nice beach within walking distance but not much entertainment in the nearby town.To sum up very friendly staff always smiling and helpful quiet for entertainment not any good for families with teenagers.This is a nice hotel if you want a quiet break.

We had a week here in Jan and I would definitely be back. Food, hotel staff particularly the entertainment team, room, facilities all 10 out of 10. Two small areas for improvement would be the wine which was the same every night and was fairly average and the music during aquagym was too loud for those not participating.
