Taoxichuan Hotel (Taoxichuan Branch)

A great hotel stay. These days I tend to Airbnb, but in China for business and pleasure, my wife and I chose this hotel. We saw the outside during a past stay and thought we'd like to try it while visiting with another couple from the states. Everything was top notch. The breakfast wasn't a madhouse like other decent hotels. The space was so big it couldn't fill with the number of guests. The room walls were thick enough not to transmit noise. The space in the rooms was more than most. The balcony was lovely. Lots of good light, both artificial and natural. Not much English spoken, but check-in was easy. They helped us get a second didi for our friends and too much luggage. Drawbacks? Didi doesn't like to pull down the driveway even as it is an obvious road to the hotel. The toilet is electric and mechanical, completely unnecessary and makes too much noise while waking to use it. But these are common in most Chinese hotels it seems. The hotel was a relaxing and peaceful place to wake up and come home to after a day of ceramic exploration.

Everything is perfect in this hotel. Built around very old trees, the green open space and the industry chic building style and interior blend beautifully together. Service, breakfast were all top notch. We also really loved the location. As it is within the Taoxichuan art and culture space, we could walk to some nice restaurants and check out the artist markets very conveniently. Highly recommend and will stay again when we return next time.

the hotel is nicely designed, but the service need improvement for this level of price (3188 rmb per night). Compared to other hotels where the staff doesn't speak English, here it is particularly difficult to be understood and even with my correct level of. Chinese they don't understand. The outdoor tables at breakfast area are not cleaned, the staff looks at you cleaning the tables without helping. There is a lack of plugs in the room, in particular no plug around the 2 desks. The welcome fruit platter was not there when we arrived. The hotel is difficult to find, the main entrance is difficult to find, the staff doesn't want to get up when you ask out of the window where to get in. The staff doesn't know where to click to open curtains in the room. So architecture, design, location are great - experience is so so, the staff doesn't feel warm.

I have been to this hotel before, and absolutely enjoyed it, so I brung my family here again. This hotel has a lovely atmosphere, it also has a convenient location and a beautiful room design. if I come to visit Jingdezhen again, this hotel will be only option.
