Singhvi's Haveli

Une char***te Haveli au cœur des ruelles de la vieille ville, accessible uniquement en tuk-tuk, du coup plus calme car loin du vacarme des quartiers marchands et de la grosse circulation, une chambre très confortable, très propre (ce qui n est pas toujours évident en Inde), une jolie décoration et le personnel gentil, agréable et discret. Les repas sont bons aussi et préparés à la com***de garantie de fraîcheur. Situé à quelques pas du bazar et de ses échoppes extraordinaires, à quelques pas aussi du fort, et une vue du toit terrasse exceptionnelle. J y retournerai avec grand plaisir.

Very lovely people and attentive service. It seems that ***y of the men who work there come from Nepal, work the season, and then return to their families until the next season. The room was quirky and highly decorated, but comfortable. (As is common, there was no place to hang clothing.)

What an absolute gem this place is. I was given one of the most beautifully decorated rooms, with an incredible view of the city. The rooftop has the best views of the Mehrangarh fort and at night it absolutely shined. I was only here for one night but I wish I stayed longer - I really liked this place! For all my solo female travelers, I felt very safe here!

A great haveli. I had the one at the very top of the building, 2 flights of stairs. Lovely and attentive staff, very helpful arranging pick-ups etc. On site restaurant serves good food and drinks. Great views from rooftop decks. The location is perfect.

A real treasure! This was our second time at Singhvi Haveli- we went there 12 years ago as 2 families with 6 children 5-15 yrs !! We were so happy to return to find very little has changed- wonderful rooms ( do choose a suite if possible , especially the beautiful painted suite on the highest level) a restaurant on the roof with brilliant views of the Fort and over the 'blue city' and the most wonderful staff who couldn't do enough for you. This Haveli offers extraordinary value for money ( our cheapest stay in India by a long way) with delicious vegetarian food and beers ( we ended up eating here on both nights of our trip).Jodhpur seems to be a wonderful non-touristy gem- so wonderful just to wander ***** clock tower road from the Haveli watching life carrying on as it has done for a long time. The Fort is a must and Singhvi haveli such a wonderful place to stay. I hope we go back again.

A great haveli. Absolutely beautiful rooms! We had the one at the very top - worth it but a lot of stairs! Lovely and attentive staff. On site restaurant serves good food and drinks. Great views from rooftop decks. Laundry service available. And Oasis from the insanity of the streets.

We had a very nice stay here. The staff and the beautiful common areas are particular strengths. Room: our room on the top floor had a marvelous view of the fort above and the blue city below. The room was spacious, with ample electrical outlets. The bed was large and comfortable. Water pressure and heat in the shower were good, though the water heater needed to be turned on 20 minutes before using. For reasons unclear to me, the sound of a water pump was constantly audible, though I fairly quickly habituated to it. The wall decorations were brightly colored to say the least; some might call them garish, but I rather enjoyed them. Note that the top floor requires walking up four steep staircases. Ambiance: the common areas (a courtyard and an interior common room) are quite lovely. The interior room has an attractive and interesting collection of artefacts. Our room was as soundproofed as could reasonably be expected, but the neighborhood is noisy, with a cacaphonous symphony of singing, scooters and barking dogs audible at all hours. Bring earplugs. Food: note that breakfast is not included, but, as seems to be the case everywhere, the prices were quite reasonable. We ate dinner here twice and the food was tasty. The restaurant is open all day, and Western and Indian options are available. Nearby Blue Street Cafe is probably the best of the three neighborhood restaurants we tried. Location: an easy walk to the fort and to some of the iconic blue houses. The hotel is set back from a busy, chaotic road. Dining options in the immediate area area limited but decent. Staff: this is a definite strength. All the staff, especially Sunil, were unflaggingly cheerful and helpful, and spoke enough English to allow us to be understood.

the staff was super friendly and always able to help. The blue city is buzzling with noise, sounds, sights but the haveli was quaint and restful. Highly recommend for an authentic experience
