Gordon's Beach Farm Stay

Absolutely amazing! One of my favourite family vacations of all time. From the breathtaking views to the friendly animals! No insects and no bad animal smells because of the constant sea breeze! The fresh fame eggs and the hammock were a nice touch. My 3 year old was in heaven!

I had an extended stay here in the Sheringham Suite. I had everything I could possibly need and more! The accommodation is clean, comfortable, spacious and filled with light. The view is to die for, with magnificent sunsets and otters to spot. And there are friendly animals to greet you, particularly Sunny, the cat. Diane and Mike are wonderful hosts - I was left to my privacy, but they were there if I needed anything. I can't recommend this place highly enough and hope one day I can return. Thank you Diane and Mike!

We were cycling the Galloping goose trail and didn't have lunch or dinner before reaching the farmstay. As it was hard to get food, they made us a plate of cold cut to eat and next day gave us a ride to town so we could get supply. The location was beautiful and it was the best value place we have stayed during 2 weeks in BC. We wished we had a car to explore the beautiful location.

We had a great time! What's not to love: spotless rooms, million dollar views, excellent hosts (Mike & Diane), plus a 5:00 pm animal walk with goats, lambs, donkeys, chickens, cats and a crazy dog! No wonder they have such loyal customers. Once you visit you will want to come back.

A wonderful experience! Exceptional hospitality and unparalleled beauty. Stunning views of the ocean and the tranquility and peace to recharge your soul. My boys fell in love with the animals and being able to explore the property and play like the kids they are. Highly recommend! This is a beautiful home base to explore this part of the island. There is so much to see in the area, so many beaches, the botanical garden, hiking trails, Sooke potholes and of course everything Victoria has to offer. The farm sits on top of a hill, has a million dollar view. The property has lots of space to roam around. If you like animals, you can interact with the friendly donkeys, goats and sheep, even participate in the 5:00 "goat walk", a very fun and unique experience. Free range chickens roam the grounds and farm fresh eggs are available. The hosts are amazing, very friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. The accommodations are top notch, bright, clean, homey, quality linen and super comfortable mattresses. The units are thoughtfully appointed with extra touches to help you enjoy your stay. The tiny cabin looks small but packs a punch. Has absolutely everything you will need in a high quality finished, comfortable and cute space. It has a picnic table and there is also a fire pit just steps away. Don't forget to ask about the homemade lavender soap.

I drove down to see my son who lives in Sooke and I found Mike and Diane's farm stay to stay in and I was not expecting such a beautiful place. The ocean view was amazing, the farm animals they have, brought me back to my childhood days on the farm. Love the chickens, they're my favourite. The space they have and the greenery is just breath taking against the view of the ocean. Mike and Diane are both very welcoming and a very safe, cozy, inviting place to spend your vacation getaways. I'm bringing my husband back in August to stay the week nd let him experience the tranquility. Diane and Mike, thank you for your hospitality.

Excellent location close to Sooke's finest beaches yet nestled high enough for expansive views. Being a hobby farm, one experiences the fun of having livestock, chickens, eagles deer and cotton tails roaming the grounds! Absolutely fantastic for children. Hosts are wonderful and go above and beyond with a "goat walk" and information for the little one's on the animals as well as petting and feeding! The self-contained cabin where we stayed was lovely, clean and very comfortable with many amenities to make a family stay fun and comfortable. Thank you Diane and Mike!

The Muir Cabin is clean, comfortable, and very cute. We really appreciated the basic pantry (including coffee, fresh eggs, oil, and salt/pepper) that so many places don’t provide these days. There was plenty of space for our belongings and to let our toddler play. Mike and Diane are very friendly hosts and we so appreciated that they went the extra mile to give our son a special farm experience (including feeding/petting the animals and a tractor ride). Great price, too!
