Kresten Royal Euphoria Resort

We have recently returned from a week's stay at the Kresten Royal. Overall we had a good experience at the hotel and would be happy to return again for a quick week away in the sun. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and accommodating. We received a warm welcome upon arrival at the hotel from the reception team and Costas who took us via the golf buggy to the room. We'd upgraded to a superior sea view room and weren't disappointed. The room was very spacious and clean, two single beds pushed together, a huge bathroom with a whirlpool bath. We'd contacted the hotel prior to our arrival to ask for an upper floor room in a quiet block and that's exactly what we got. The food was varied in the main restaurant. On occasions we found this to be a little cold (we like our food hot). We did raise this with the hotel management team and they took our comments on board. Service on occasions to clear plates and offer drinks could be improved as on occasions was slow, but we found this really did depend where you sat in the restaurant. The food at the pool bar was typical of quick bites - burgers, pizza, chips, salad, gyros (chicken, pork, veggie and lamb options). Again, sometimes we found it a little cold to our taste, but if we arrived just as they were putting the food out, it was hot. Plenty of sun loungers which were really comfy. No need to rush in a morning to get one. We found the "Sefra" pool bar (small bar, drinks only) our favourite one. Manos is a great bar tender who remembers what you drink and serves them with a smile. Nice range of cocktails. We liked the loungers in this area, as Manos always had music playing low in the background. The other larger pool area was very quiet apart from the aqua aerobics and zumba class in a morning. Pool towels are available from reception via a refundable deposit. No issues changing towels or getting the deposit back. Pools are currently cold but ok once in. There's a warmer indoor pool available. During our stay we were only able to get into the theme restaurants on one occasion, despite downloading the app upon our arrival and immediately going on there to view the menus and try and book a place. We found that all the sittings were fully booked, apart from one early sitting and one later sitting. We chose the earlier sitting at the Aura Greek Thematic Restaurant. The food was lovely and well presented. The hotel offers a lot of open space for relaxing by the pools or sitting enjoying a drink on the terrace areas. Its a great place to socialize and meet new friends. Night time entertainment is low key. This takes place in the bar area of the main reception lobby (assume outside during high season). Sunday and Tuesday there is no entertainment. Regular shows include a saxophone player, violin player, singer / guitarist, accrobats and latin dance show. There's a spa on site. We loved our stay at Kresten Royal Euphoria. I went with 2 other friends. We were super taken care of and all the staff are very welcoming. We had a small incident where we needed medical assistance and the gentleman at the reception could not have been more kind and helpful. He provided first aid for my friend and arranged a taxi to the local hospital. We unfortunately never got his name but are super thankful for his assistance. Our favourites from this resort would have to be the buffet from breakfast to dinner, as well as the A La carte menu. The pools are huge with plenty of sunbeds around and the view is also so stunning. The bartenders are really friendly and conversational and the house keeping team were also so kind and did a good job with tidying up the rooms when we were out. Overall, the service from this resort is amazing and it definitely made our holiday one to remember. Thank you to all the staff members at Kresten Royal Euphoria!

Stayed here for a week (28th March -4th April) as it was a friend’s birthday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food wasn’t the best at dinner times as I survived of spag bol for the week but there were themed nights and 3 different restaurants. Throughout the day the lunch bar was good there were kebabs,pizzas,burgers,ice creams, fruit, crepes etc. The rooms were very spacious but the bathroom are outdated , the cleaners didn’t clean (wipe the surfaces) but they did change the bed,towels and left fresh bottled water. They do offer activities and require a 1 day in advance notice. The lobby was the go to place at night and the bar there closed at 12:30 there is an outside terrace that is lovely for the evenings. All in all I would definitely go back!

As a couple thete was not a double bed in the room. It was 2 singles pushed together and not joined, hence it didn't work for us. The food in main restaurant and pool bar restaurant was cold. Burgers extremely over done and was like rubber. Odd combination of foods, no description of what deserts where ( allegies) Outside in coliseum bean bags where ripped looked tatty...need replacing. Staff where so accommodating, place extremely clean. Overall a fantastic place to visit. Great value, beautiful place.

Lia’s warm welcome and helpfulness was appreciated and made our holiday. The choice of food and presentation was always very impressive. All Staff were approachable and helpful. Certainly recommend to our friends and family. Thank you!

Having just spent a week in this hotel, all I can say is how excellent everything is. From arrival, you are met everywhere with an amazing team, who go out of there way to accommodate and chat to you. Bedrooms - we just had a bog standard room, and it was spacious with a whirlpool bath, fridge and comfy beds. Our room had a patio surrounded by lush gardens. Water was always hot for a shower or bath and the aircon worked well. Pools - 2 main pools, one with a pool bar and the other with the snack bar and bar attached. We mainly stayed at the top pool, where Manos the bartender kept us with a steady supply of premium drinks and chat. There was never a shortage of sunbeds and was always banter to be found round the bar. Food - The food was phenomenal, local cuisine was the main focus, with a few specials, normally fish providing some great assortment. The snack bar serves Gyros, burgers, and pizza. The only food we didn't appreciate was the burgers. The day we had them they were stone cold and the chicken burger was a bit grey. But it didn't stop us from always eating well. A special shout out to the charcuterie and bread selection and how fresh the salad bar was. As someone who is lactose intolerant, the Greek lactose free yoghurt for breakfast was a particularly welcome sight. The team who sit you for your meal have to have a particular mention too. They were a lovely bunch and once they got to know you had a good laugh. Bars- the main bar for the evening was the Thea bar and the two barman, George and Petro (maybe spelt wrongly) were superb, you never waited long for a drink and they did it all with a smile and a chat to everyone. We have already booked for a return visit and I couldn't rate this place highly enough.

Only 1 day into the 7 night stay we noticed quite a few alarming problems. For starters, when we arrived late at night we were greeted by reception who did not tell us about what our inclusive plus offers and gave us the bare minimum of details for the hotel. They just said check their app with a QR code. We had to pay €70 tourist tax for the hotel as its €10 per night base son the star rating. This feels far too much as the hotel is definitely not 5 star worthy. We noticed that every hotel on our trips away is somehow 5 stars. So there is definitely some up with the star rating in Rhodes. A major problem area we felt was with the restaurant. We noticed that when you arrive for any meal, they take your room number and score you off the list so if you left and wanted to come back you couldn't. This felt very strange for "All inclusive". You would be waiting to get taken to a seat despite there being plenty of empty seats. Once seated, trying to get a hold of a water to get you drinks could be a challenge as there felt like a lack of waiters. Quite a few of the waiters felt unfriendly and would not go about to clear tables, make up tables, or offer to get drinks unless asked by management or customers. The management were always seen to be bickering with each other or on the phone in the restaurant walking about. The plates were stone cold 90% of the time and this was the same with most of the food (Even food they "freshly brought out" was look warm most of the time). All main meal foods came with a poorly translated description and if was greater than a couple of words it would be cut off. All of the starters and desserts had no description labels as to what the food was. None of the description labels mentioned allergens which was a big problem for us. We went in April which was rather warm with around 26 degrees most days, going in peak summer would be brutal as there was no AC in the restaurant, it always felt warm and clammy. The food was very mixed as it would be either bland, tough, and nasty or would be nice. It was impossible to know. Our room felt very uninspiring, and just out right plain considering this is an "All inclusive plus" package. The shower felt very basic and not good quality for a 5 star hotel. The housekeeping felt quite unfriendly and we had to ask them after they had done our room to get fresh bedsheets. After asking they did not feel welcoming to us ever again and we later seen from other reviews that this is common and others had things stolen. After this, we made sure to lock the safe and our suitcases. As our holiday came to an end, the mandatory check out is at 11am. Our flight did not leave until 10pm, we asked if it was possible to just extend our room check out by a couple/few hours as a common courtesy but were denied repeatedly. This meant we had to leave our suitcases and bags in a small room and had nowhere besides the lobby to relax. This felt very poor to not even offer a temporary room or accommodate
