My stay here was an absolute delight, especially thanks to William, our host, who was not only extraordinarily attentive and solution-oriented but also showed a contagious enthusiasm for his job and the well-being of his guests. The entire team is very motivated. Above all, I enjoyed the good food - simply outstanding! The value for money exceeded my expectations. It is rare to find such a Western standard at such a fair price. The location in Kampot was good too. In the immediate vicinity, there were practical services such as motorcycle rental and a laundry, which made the stay even more pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel, especially to those who are looking for a touch of Western standard without having to dig deep into their pockets. A great find!

Great value for the price. A wonderful owner who goes out of his way to make his guests feel comfortable. Marvelous food, nice garden. Located within walking distance of Kampot attractions. I definitely recommend this place.

Only stayed for one night due to travel commitments but would have stayed longer. Very clean and good facilities. I've read that one of the downstairs rooms can be noisy, however, we were upstairs and had no issues at all. The AC/fan works perfectly and there is a great TV in the room. Perfect stay if you want to get away from busier/commercial hotels. William is friendly, accommodating and full of helpful suggestions. He remembered our names and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Slightly more expensive that some private rooms in hostels, but much better value than a lot of similar rooms in other hotels. The standard of room matches the top hotels, but comes with a friendly, personalised service too that you simply won't find in bigger, commercial establishments. Would definitely return here if back in Kampot.

My old mate and I stayed at the magic sponge nearly 3weeks in September 2023,the welcome mat was certainly put at our feet the moment we arrived .William Hudson owner manager a massive smile and the coldest beer in kampot,. We were shown to our rooms so clean and comfortable with lovely decoration private bathroom and a balcony that is just beautiful.The choices of menu was unbelievable and the serves where very American sized, and very reasonably priced , the girls in the kitchen were just lovely and cleaned our rooms so beautifully,so much laughter and fun watching Williams daily movie,with ice cold beer and snacks.The magic sponge and kampot literally stole my heart I can’t wait to return,Thankyou William for making our stay with you so welcoming,like the terminator famously said I’ll be back🙏😍🥰❤️💕

Comfortable, relaxing. HUGE breakfast ! William, as always, pays great attention to detail and is the most friendly and knowledgeable host. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kampot. The sponge was ideal for us and my seven year old daughter couldn't get enough of playing golf or watching kids' Netflix.... I love the great selection of food and the quality and western size portions was well appreciated. Thanks

Perfect location. Hotel cleaness 10 out of 10. William our host was fantastic, full of local knowledge and assisted us with all our needs. Food was 2nd to none, and best we came across in Cambodia, big portions and cheap!

Best ever ! What a gentleman and can play piano and make a mean Bloody Mary! The breakfast omg wow! Thank you for having us we loves staying so much! Room was aircon with flat screen tv and lates tree at movies . Put put gold and just so wonderful! We will be coming back for sure!

Arrived 19th January still here until 2nd February. If you are planning to come to kampot and looking for a base to stay I must say you won't be disappointed here! William the host is a very welcoming and friendly person ' the place is kept very clean and tidy by the hard working girls that are employed. The rooms are air conditiond and you get bottles of water daily either in the room or outside the door!! There are 2 pool tables and a mini golf free for guests and visitors who drink or eat, both the food and drinks are very good and the price is excellent. William himself will help you in any way he can with local spots to visit or getting a trip for you, there are bars and restaurants all with in walking distance or just over a dollar by tuk tuk! So if your in the area give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Double room was smallish but very comfortable and clean. Food was excellent and amazing value for money. The biggest and most generous breakfast I've had in a long time! Owner was friendly and property was beautiful. Highly recommended!
